Told Marcia about my bi-ness.
Jun. 29th, 2003 09:58 amShe was totally accepting, and thinks my parents will be just as all right with me. That makes me feel a bit more confident. ^_^ She said that as a parent, she appreciates it that I was open with her. I'm family, too (a daughter, even), so although Mom and Dad could be a little uncomfortable with my little announcement, they'd accept it. And they're not mean people, I know that. Who knows? Maybe my coming out will get them (Mom *cough*) to stop saying certain things. Because, after all, they'll know someone personally who's of a different "preference."
So, I'm going out to Greenwich to see if that shop is open. If not, maybe I'll just walk around for a bit before coming back home. I doubt I'll be staying for the parade, though. Too many people. ^^;

The parade (yep, I stayed) was excellent. I got a rainbow flag, but unfortunately not much else, since most of the freebies were gone by the time the parade got to Christopher St. ^^; I really enjoyed myself. And I met a few people that I know will be great friends. In fact, if they pick that spot again like they did this year and last, I'll see them again in a year. ^_^
But that's not what the "wow" is about. I told Mom that I'm bisexual. And she immediately said, "Okay." o_O I wasn't expecting it at all. She's fine with it. She said Dad might have a problem with it (and she could talk to him about it if I want her to), but she doesn't have any problem with it. That makes me wonder if I've been reading her wrong this entire time.
So, yeah. Relief isn't the word for what I feel right now. I'm so happy.
EDIT: *thinks* You know... a camera will come in handy next year. XD I'll ask if I can borrow the digital camera. Or if we get a better one by then, maybe I'll get the current one.
