Pictures of my artist's book

Finished product. A little sloppy around the drawers, but I'm all right with that. I had to mess with that whole section SO much just to get the drawers to function properly. Lots of pictures.

Frontal view. That thing on the canvas is SUPPOSED to be a door. Problem is, it looks like a TARDIS. XDDD One of my classmates was like, "I like that the door is on a canvas--that means the unknown is an ARTISTIC unknown!" Accidental symbolism FTW? It happened with something else, too...

Close-up of the lower-left part. The palette and paint brush were supposed to go in one of the drawers, but I ended up with a small area that was bare, so I covered it with the palette.

Some stuff on the top. The small one is a poem by Emily Dickinson.

A passage in the book I pulled things from that I really liked.

Another thing I took from the book, a poem.

Journey key! This was one of those things I got at Michael's. It belongs to a set of antique-looking keys with different words on them. I knew I could use them somehow. Only ended up using this one, but it really ended up working out with the poem.

Side view. More obvious here that the original book was a dictionary.

Drawers out!

Close-up of the left drawer, with primary color (and white) paint tubes and a paintbrush.

Poor, lonely clarinet. XD; I was going to add more to this drawer, and I still plan to once finals are over. Accidental symbolism #2 here: Francine said she liked that the clarinet was in a drawer, put away, because I don't play it anymore. Bruce said, "Well, yeah, but the drawer goes both ways." She said that means I can always go back to playing when I want to. Totally wasn't my intention at all, but it works.
