I think the only real effort I put into my appearance is keeping my hair dyed, and that's only because I see grey hairs and immediately wind up going O_O >_< "THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE." XDDDDD Which is funny because when I was a teenager, I always said I wasn't going to do that, I would just age gracefully and whatever. :B
