So that was a little creepy.

Not as bad as the thing with the dolls, though. There's something very creepy about life-sized dolls with huge heads and vaguely Katamari-looking faces. (Seriously, they reminded me a bit of the Prince and everyone else.)

Poor Doctor. Woobie needs a hug. :<

Religion's paper's been posted, math homework is done (but I'm waiting to post it; I want to look it over again tomorrow before I upload the file), and I'm going to ATTEMPT to start the project. Haven't gotten to the studio yet, but tomorrow will be the day. Right now the sun's down and it'll be getting colder, and that'll just aggravate my cold. I'm already snotting it up everywhere. Craig called me up earlier and made me laugh. It wasn't pretty.

Actually, I think I wanna do something creative right now. Project later. I'm tired of looking at schoolwork. I need a break!

... ahahaha, I forgot to post this~ I got caught up in renaming all the HetaOni music files I have so I can actually find stuff. A bunch of the tracks had what was probably Japanese in them, but it displayed as gibberish instead. *posts*

Okay, second Moff Doctor Who season, and both of the really emotionally-gripping eps have been the tenth one. I'm sure that's not planned, but it's interesting. That was a fantastic episode. Totally watching again. I don't even think Amy haters could hate her here.

LOL, Amazon fail.

Rooster Teeth released four songs from Red Vs. Blue Season 9. I practically flew to Amazon to purchase them. I forgot that Citibank gave me a slightly different debit card number because one of the stores I shop at was compromised (probably Michael's... and if so, way to jump on it months late, Citibank!). I bought the songs, they're saved on my computer and in Amazon Cloud. I realized after I bought them that Amazon got the wrong card info.

Hours later, I receive an e-mail from Amazon. The order's been canceled due to lack of payment/incorrect payment option. The tracks still work, and they're still in my Cloud.

I don't know if that's supposed to happen or what. It's kinda weird. I basically just got $4 worth of music tracks for free.

In other news: Anyone who watches me on Facebook may have seen this. My professor for What Is Religion? He's a Doctor Who fan. He said he'll burn me some old Tom Baker episodes (he has pretty much everything except the missing episodes) and showed me his red Dalek. XD He would've had it moving and talking had the batteries not been dead. The man was already cool, but now he's just awesome.

And, I have a weird mark on my arm. No idea where it came from. It's a few reddish-colored marks. I won't even call them bumps, because they're not at all pronounced. They don't itch, they don't hurt. It's just a little cluster of like five or so little red spots. Took a picture and sent it to Mom, and she said to tell her if it starts changing colors. I'm not mutating yet. It's probably nothing, but I get weirded out when I see strange marks on me.

Spent like five hours at the ceramics studio today. The hollow sphere I made yesterday was WAY too small, so I ended up making two more, and I'm using the original one for extra credit. The whole process of forming the clay into a sphere is time-consuming if you're looking for a perfect sphere, but I sat there and worked that clay to death. The second sphere was definitely easier than the first; I'm getting used to making pinch pots and keeping the cracks from getting too out of control. The first pot had major cracking issues, and the third had its moments, but the second was basically flawless. ^_^ Tomorrow we make spouts. I believe once this first project is all done, we'll have a teapot and teacups to go with it. Emma's also in the class now, so she and I can work on our stuff together.

Her memory's still terrible. XD;; She's great, though. Glad I have her for a roommate.

In PA

Doctor Who: WHAT? Kirsten, reaction, quick! Also, I'm staying away from reaction posts in the community because people are being stupid. XD;

My parents are hell-bent on ribs tonight, so I'm waiting for food. I want cookies and the oven's occupied. At least, I think they're still cooking...

Tomorrow: Mom and I get new phones! I'm thinking a Samsung Epic. AMOLED screen, 5MP camera, full QWERTY keyboard with a dedicated number row. Also, Android. Yes. My phone's old and obsolete. ^^;;

I have done absolutely NO art today. Nothing creative at all, really, so I need to get on that. I have an ePortfolio deposit due next Friday, and for that I need to complete the pieces that aren't quite done yet, and that includes the things due next Friday. I think three senses, four or five comic pages, and... something else? I forget. Anyway, work to do. I brought my watercolor paper and paints up; I might try to work with them before we leave tomorrow.

So apparently, Craig's (former) school is a tough one. We were all thinking Western Wayne was such a great school, and apparently it's not. It's got its own set of problems. I asked Mom how it now compares to Wallenpaupack, which is supposed to be the DO NOT GO HERE school, and she snorted.

Dad now knows that Craig's complaints about the school, even though Craig would not go into detail, were likely warranted. No idea yet if this will result in Craig moving back to PA and doing his last year through homeschooling. Dad had said he was done with Craig in terms of school, but knowing that Craig was probably right the whole time puts a new spin on everything.

Have not talked to the boss yet. If he says no, I can't have Tuesday and Thursday mornings (not likely, but possible), I'll see what Mom says about it, but I've got it set in my mind that I'm taking the class. I don't want to wait a semester between; I'll forget everything. He was in and out of his office all morning, so I didn't really have a chance to say anything.

Mom's looking into Dona's suggestion to see about retiring on disability if she can't get back to work without screwing her hand up further. She can retire in mid-February, really. Right now she's just waiting for the age, and while she said she would work past her retirement time to bank more money, if she can't get back to work, it's a moot point.

ANYWAY.

Took Craig to work and then to the Met with me. My art history class met there, for an extra credit assignment and to figure out what each of us is going to write our term paper on. Craig really enjoyed it. We're sore as hell, but we had fun. Spent the afternoon walking around the museum with Stephanie from Illustration, and when we split to go home, Craig said she was cool. (Both of them have seen Charlie the Unicorn. I will not look at it. XD) I'm glad he enjoyed himself. Usually he doesn't want to go anywhere, but when Arianne said we could bring someone along, I immediately thought of him.

Just watched The Big Bang again for the time-jumping and ended up watching the whole episode over again. I don't think it's going to get old, haha. You know what I need? An icon of the Doctor's silly dance. I cannot watch that scene without completely losing it.

No boss tomorrow! It's going to be the slowest day ever. I'm thinking of bringing my DS and maybe making a DVD with some episodes of Doctor Who on it. Of course, Craig also said he might come to work again with me (?!), so maybe not. He'll have something to do at least. He tried to sell his very old PSP and couldn't, so I got him Peace Walker. I am now broke, but he's happy. Did I mention he's writing poetry now? He wrote one thanking his friends for sticking with him through everything. Seriously, he makes me RAWR sometimes, but I love the kid.

Doctor Who = AWESOME.

Best season finale ever. Best season ever. I'm totally watching the episodes again.

AND JACKET!DOCTOR WAS RIGHT, HAHA. Shame on people being so skeptical. That even explained the black "watch", now that I think about it, and the rolled-up sleeves. Vortex manipulator, not gold watch.

(Eventually I'll stop grinning and gloating about that. Someday.)

Of course, several people in the community noticed some odd people-shaped shadows in the background of a few scenes... and we don't get any new episodes until Christmas! We're going to have that hanging over us for MONTHS!

Love. This. Show.

So I just saw this while at work... but the stairs in Amy's house lead to the ceiling. I didn't notice that. It could be an attic or something, but I am completely weirded out right now. Remember "there is no upstairs" one episode ago? How many times did I watch that episode and didn't notice those stairs because I was too busy staring at Amy? I watched that episode like ten times! If they DO lead to the ceiling and not an attic, Steven Moffat is a magnificent bastard. "Notice everything."

It's Wednesday. There needs to be Saturday-ness. Someone's posted possible spoilers for the last episode. I'm trying my hardest not to click the comments.

... Okay, I clicked and saw one thing. And I don't even know what context to put it in. I'm totally stopping right there. XD Three more days.

Got my art history textbook! (Thank you, Amazon, for going with UPS and not A1, who you're apparently still using, because I paid to overnight it so it would get here overnight. With A1, who knows.) I'm going to post my assignment for Communication, then get started on reading for art history. Speaking of the assignment, I sent it to a few people and coworkers, but the coworkers couldn't do it because Websense chose right after I sent the e-mail to block the page. Like, "OOPS! What was I doing? :D" I asked them to do it at home since the filter was being an ass. It's not a social networking site, damnit. Every time there's an issue, it's supposedly a social networking site. I don't think the filter understands what that means, really. You can't even chat on it, or e-mail, or anything.

If you want, do it here: CJ's Johari Window

That's only part of the assignment, but the more results I get, the better when I post it. :3

Will bring my thank you letter for the scholarship to the school tomorrow. I still can't believe that. I realized today that the award is for the year, so it'd likely be paid $500 twice, but that still cuts the amount of money I need to spend.

I've gotten pretty good at shoving pills in Oliver's mouth. ^^; I shove them in there and hold his muzzle shut, and eventually he swallows. It's the only way to make SURE he has his medication. He's not happy about it, but it has to be done.

The jacket thing on Doctor Who. )

ANYWAY.

I start school tomorrow! I also have to take Oliver to the vet in the morning. He's having hip issues, and it might be hip displasia, so I want to get it checked out. I don't know if they'll be able to sedate him to take the x-rays, though, because of the heart murmur. If not, they'll probably just give him a cortizone (cortisol? I always get the two mixed up) shot or tell me to give him supplements. We actually bought him some jerky with glucosamine and chondroitin in it, which he gobbled right up, and Mom said he seemed to walk better this morning.

Lately he's not been eating his food in the morning. He tries to bum food off of us. I've already told Mom I'm thinking about not feeding him in the morning and letting him eat toward/in the afternoon. He'll eat one meal a day, Mom can fill his bowl if she wants to, and he'll likely slowly lose some weight. She didn't seem too enthused by it, but she's not understanding that pretty consistently, I've put his food out in the morning and he hasn't eaten it. And it'll sit there for hours. It doesn't make sense to put it out.

CUTEST DOCTOR COSPLAY EVER.

Also, Mom told me earlier that for just a second, she saw Craig's portrait that I'm almost done painting and thought he was sitting there. XD Best reaction to get, because that's what I'm going for. It's still going to look like a painting, because I do not have Chuck Close's skill, but if it looks real enough that it fools someone for a sec, that's good.

Was supposed to be arting, but just got finished watching DW Confidential 5x09, because I wanted to see the tour and that incredibly goofy dance Matt and Karen did. I love those two, seriously. So dorky.

Okay. Back to work. Again. ^^;

Best Doctor Who episode ever.

Seriously. I wanna watch it again, but maybe later. I'm already tearing up. Again. They handled Van Gogh's mental illness SO well, too. I was worried they'd gloss over it because lots of little kids watch this show. It's good they didn't, because people have to learn about it sooner or later. Beautiful episode. <3

Other news... de Blob sequel has a general release time! Yay!

It's in Spring 2011! Boo. Of course, it's de Blob, so I'll wait as long as it takes. Love that game. And the DS version is finally happening, too.

Hair's been taken out, washed, and trimmed. Mom wasn't happy about its length (even though it'd grown at least an inch, but because it hadn't been straightened out, it looked much shorter), but I like it. It's like a little shorter than chin-length right now. I had it shoved underneath a winter hat, and the hair was just long enough to poke out of the bottom. I didn't perm it since that would set me back--still planning on locking my hair--so it's just been pressed. The humidity will play havoc with it, I'm sure, but that's okay. Having it out is temporary, just to let it breathe a bit. I'm either going to braid it up again, or find some place to start the locking process.

Have homework to work on. Two illustrations, one started in class but still missing some stuff before I can color it, one still in the planning stages (I had an idea for it that involved an extreme close-up, but I've realized I might not be able to do it that way because the donkey's skin should be visible). Also need to work more on the Cezanne copy.

(In the aftermath of Doctor Who, I SWEAR I want to change my painting decision and go back to Van Gogh. I wanted to do one of his paintings--either one of the ones with the cypresses or The Starry Night--and chickened out once I saw them in person and how utterly complex they look. I'm only in Beginning Painting, after all, and we're not supposed to use a grid to help us. But damn if they didn't just cement The Starry Night in place as my favorite painting ever. I might actually e-mail Prof. Segre and ask if I can switch. We have to say a little something about the artist we pick, and I really want to just dive into a biography of Van Gogh now.)

OMG. It's perfect.

This. Holy crap, THIS.

Spoilers through Flesh and Stone )

And the Prisoner Zero thing didn't even OCCUR to me. I just watched that part of the episode again, and you cannot tell who's in the house (the shadow's too fast and too low to give any clue), but it really cannot be Prisoner Zero. And I thought the sound in the Beast Below in the engine room and in Victory of the Daleks while they were in the elevator was weirdly out of place. WTF, Moffatt. Just... WTF. <3

So, not tonight and not before Thursday, but on the weekend most likely (in a run up to Vampires of Venice), I'm watching all five episodes again very carefully. There've been a lot of little things I've missed because I haven't been looking for them.

It probably won't be, but if all that speculation is true, I'm gonna squee.

Have I mentioned I love this show? I do.

Updates!

- Two days until Weeping Angels!!! :DDDD

- No grade on Beginning Painting just yet (I'm not sure if she's actually going to grade us right now), but she/the class liked my painting, and Prof. Segre told me to look at Alex Katz's artwork because I seem to do the same sort of simplification of form that he does. I did look; very cool. Eileen (classmate) also told me the midterm painting was very children's book illustration, which made me very happy. The midterm painting is hanging up in the hallway at school. ^_^

- I did not do thumbnails and a sketch for Illustration this week, but I'm blaming the midterm painting for that. XD;; I'm ahead by three sketches, anyway--we're only supposed to do three thumbnails and a sketch from one of the thumbnails each week, but one week I actually ended up sketching/coloring all three thumbnails, and I've only drawn one. Plus I still have an extra that I've had for weeks. I'll do the thumbnails next week, but this week I just didn't have time. I was still finishing up my illustrations last night. It's the first time I haven't done an assignment, but it's not like I don't have anything to work off of for next week. I hope she understands. I may try to blow up two sketches. The story's too long to tell in 10 illustrations. I had a feeling I might run into this problem. Going to take some working with... I might have to do two at a time for a couple weeks.

- I do not regret my decision to buy SoulSilver. Not one bit. XD I do not miss the random battles, but I forgot how much fun that game is. And the Pokewalker is great. I'm keeping Mareep in the thing to evolve it to Flaafy, and then I'll work from there. I still have no Electric-based attacks, and I need them. Still haven't gotten to play the Wii games. Over the weekend. Or later today.

- Going to Albany tomorrow for the celebratory luncheon (for "OCFS's Outstanding Women") with Rani and Dona. Yesterday was my last day in the office this week. :D

- Rocket Knight comes out on the 12th!!! Two days after my birthday! Eeee!

Okay, I'm going now. XD;;

The state (HESC to be exact) paid only $140 of the $200 they were supposed to pay for the Fall term--$20 a credit times the seven credits I was registered for in the first session. Completely ignored the second session's three credits, hence I'm missing $60. Well, they're missing $60. I don't owe a thing, and I'm not paying it. Either the system catches up and realizes that I took ten credits (and if it wasn't paid, WHY was I able to register?), or I have to go down there and knock some heads. And they will not shuffle me back and forth between Bursar and Financial Services. They're three blocks apart. They'll get one another on the phone while I'm standing there.

Anyway. Just fired off an e-mail to HESC, and I'll see what they say about it. Tomorrow. Because they're closed now, of course.

Spent tonight fixing my painting and watching various Doctor Who episodes. I love that show. Oh, and the promotional picture with Eleven and Amy floating in the time vortex? Totally went by me today while I was walking to school. On the side of a bus. Doctor Who has hit the big time, haha. I immediately whipped out my phone while walking and texted Dad to tell him how cool it was to see the Eleventh Doctor on the side of a NYC bus.
