Just helped Mom finish setting up the receiver. She said she doesn't know what she'd do without me. She had a few things in Line In when they should've been in Out, or vice versa, and I told her the difference and switched them around for her.
When the hell is Western Digital going to give me my freaking rebate? Best Buy gave it to me ages ago. Get on with it, people. That's $50 of my money, and I want it.
Today... started miserably. The knowledge that Joan would be out of the office practically all day, and that Tas wouldn't be in until the afternoon, did nothing to help my mood. The sketch I did today did nothing, either. It took listening to the H2G2 radio series to finally make me smile. And I had to copy another one of Yulia's "monster cases" (as Charles referred to this one, wihich was only one folder of about 600-700 sheets of paper... I should show him the Schwartz case she did that I had to copy last year. Three accordion folders, two manila folders in each of them. SIX freaking folders in all), but because the vast majority of the sheets were the same size and all attached to each other (and with one staple--thankfully this wasn't one of Harry's cases with fix staples holding one group of sheets together), they were easy to feed into the copier. Only when I got to the front of the file (I work from the back) did I start slowing down due to 8.5"x14" sheets of paper. Still, the whole thing took me two hours. Less than a day on one of Yulia's cases is definitely a good thing. That will be sent out tomorrow.
Tomorrow, Joan should be out of the office, upstairs with the team leaders doing interviews again... although, she and Jim seemed to be scheming and trying to find a way out of it. I hope not. Despite my mood, it was nice not having her around. And apparently, everyone knew she was going to be out, because no one called for her until the end of the day... and I mean the end, when we were leaving. I didn't pick up the phone. XD; 4:40, don't talk to me. I don't know you. Home, Jeeves.
(My parents have been saying that a lot lately. And they've been calling me Miss Daisy. I really need to get my license so they'll stop. ^^;;)
Downloading Fushigi Yuugi because I'm poor and don't have $300 some-odd for the DVDs. Dual-audio .ogm files. I attempted to tape the series when it was on... one of the cable channels, but it was dubbed, and lugging around tapes was annoying anyway. Still, I might rent the rereleased DVDs from RentAnime and copy those so they'll be readable in a DVD player.
And I need to bug Dad about finding Roxio. I need the version he and Mom have. It records sound. I have nothing on this computer that records sound except Sound Recorder. That primitive piece of crap. Can't have that.
