meitantei_cjRight. The boss just told me he has a meeting right now that conflicts with the biweekly meeting, and we'll end up having to push it back. He knew about that meeting. He accepted it last week. It's on his calendar, and he was in Outlook yesterday because he e-mailed me from Albany. Pushing the meeting back is not the problem. The problem is, I don't know when he wants the meeting, and I don't know if there are any rooms available ANYWHERE for the meeting. Our usual room on this floor is taken for the entire day because we have three divisions of the agency here, and two of them don't have their own rooms. Our meeting was supposed to be upstairs in an hour.
Gah. On his head be it if we end up with no room. He's irresponsible. He leaves these things for the last minute, and I'm not killing myself for this. I'll check for availability, and if there is none, oh well. There might not be that many of us, maybe we can use a small room. I can't even say yet since people aren't here yet.
Pushing the meeting back has also screwed things up a bit. Mom got my text this morning about probably coming home early (since I said I was only going to work because we have the meeting, and I make it a point not to miss the meetings), and she said even though we'd decided not to go to the house this weekend, I could meet her like I did a few weeks ago and we'd go up anyway. The boss said we'd have to push the meeting back to twelve or one. If we have it at one, there's really no point in leaving. I'd be free at two. I don't know. Depends on what time we hold the meeting, and if Mom still wants to go if I get out late.
Sharone just called saying she thinks twelve would be the better time, so I guess I'll just send the notice. Right now it's out of the boss's hands. It was out of his hands the second he gave me last-minute notice and left without clarifying things. Twelve it is.
