They're raising the fare from $1.50 to $2. This is to close their $1 billion deficit.

They don't have a deficit. At least not one nearly that big. Damn people. I'd love to see them prove it, but they never like to disclose their financial state. Ever. This greatly annoys me, because it'll cost $4 to go somewhere and come back. Even downtown, which barely takes fifteen minutes. It cost $3 before. They'd better not raise it again with another lie. 9_9

I think I shall draw a Beekura pic. But I might take a different approach to it than Jen did... *grins* That's if I can get it to come out right. Question though, for anyone who might know... does any character really hate Bakura?

Off I gooooooooo.

The hell?

Someone got arrested for wearing a t-shirt that said "World peace/Give peace a chance" at a mall for a protest. (And he bought the shirt at that mall!) That's all it said--nothing against Saddam, bin Laden, Bush, anyone. The security guards asked him to remove it, and he wouldn't, so they handcuffed him.

Dude. Lawsuit. I absolutely would not stand for that, if I were wearing such a shirt. What country do we live in anyway? Not trying to start any trouble, of course... but if they start taking away freedom of speech, what's left? Worse, what else would they take?

The sad thing is that on the way back from PA on Sunday, Mom and Dad were listening to a radio station around here. Every Sunday night, they have discussions about things (mostly things affecting the black community, since it is a black-owned/operated station). They were talking about the whole war situation, and they mentioned something just like this. Sure, they were just the opinions of four men, but they said civil liberties were going to fly right out the window. That, in conjunction with this, bothers me.

I swear, I need money to move myself, my family, and a bunch of friends to Canada. I've noticed that I haven't heard a single thing about them since our government tried to accuse them of harboring terrorists. (Or was that exactly what it was? Something to that effect...) They've not been targeted to my knowledge. And living here, in this city, in this country, is starting to agitate me again.

Good freak.

Never again will I buy YGO! cards from around here. They want WAY too much money... $7 for two packs? (1st Edition, yeah, but damn...) And they weren't even Labrynth of Nightmare packs, they were Pharaoh's Servant. 9_9 I keep splurging with Mom's money... we were only out there (Craig and I) because we were looking for a toy he wanted--which he got for free because the guy was extremely generous. I thought Mom was gonna kill me. XD;;

EDIT: Oh, I forgot to mention--the pack of cards I got? Well, you get nine in a pack. I already have seven of them.
