Oct. 31st, 2004 01:38 pmI just saw Link with a faerie pushing a baby carriage. NO lie. XDDD I should have jumped out of the car and snapped their picture! I wonder if the baby was dressed up... Mom was just saying at that very moment how she was surprised she hadn't seen any Halloween costumes, and I said, "Yeah... It's Link!!" She gave me the funniest look. I was all excited over seeing such a thing around here. And he had a sword on his back! Couldn't see a shield, but Link holds his shield in his right hand and we were on the guy's left, so he might have had one. XD
Laptop appears to be getting worse... my options are Best Buy and CompUSA. Neither can tell me they'll have the laptop back next week. >_> I will ask them if it's possible to have it back same-day. I don't care if it means dropping it off in the morning and getting it back that evening... I can make up a day's word count in no time. A week, and I'm out of NaNo this year, unless I get plenty of free time at work to write... and my wrist doesn't screw up on me.
Or I could use the computer at work and just keep the file itself on a floppy... take Chris Baty's suggestion and have a program to tab back to whenever someone comes over. X)
EDIT: Oh. I'm tearing myself away from Katamari Damacy for the next month. (Except weekends, of course.) I'm leaving the games up at the house with Craig... I don't need the distraction. XD I know I'll come home from work and immediately get to work trying to break my 870m record on the moon. I honestly don't know how I did it that time... it seems impossible to get that much.
One day I'm going to make Dad sit down and play, hehe. Just once.
And Nintendo's releasing (or is it out already?) Zelda II: The Adventure of Link on GBA. I desperately want to beat that game. Dad never beat it, and as much as I used to attempt it on his game (we got to the last level, where you have to walk past the long, huge fence with Moblins popping out everywhere and throwing spears at you), I could never get past the wall. ^^;;; I beat the original game not long ago... but I've never once seen the ending to the second game. I could be lazy and hunt for it online, but I want to earn it. And if I can beat it, I'll feel very proud of myself... especially after today, remembering that Dad beat Dragon Warrior eons ago. (My first RPG ever. Even then, waiting my turn got on my nerves... but not as much. XD)
