Jun. 11th, 2005 06:06 pmReally nice thunderstorm last night. Unfortunately, in this room, my bed is directly next to a window. The heat coupled with all the noise kept waking me up when I wanted to sleep. Sleeping on and off didn't really help me. So I'm exhausted now... I'm also pretty broke at the moment, with $12.53 to my name (would have been less than nothing, had I listened to Mom and taken the $20 cash back from Sam's earlier), but that's okay. I got Easy Media Creator 7.5 for $77 when I haven't seen it for less than $100. I can record MP3s now, like I was doing with Mom's computer when I ripped the in-game Rez tracks.

Mom mentioned the H2G2 exhibit again because Dad mentioned England. She said that back last year sometime (I guess at the end of it), she saw a deal on airfare... I think it was four days, three nights at a hotel, and round-trip airfare, for something around $400. Something like that. The details might be a little off... but it was cheap, whatever it was. That would be ideal for me. Problem would be finding the time to do it. Money wouldn't be an issue, because I can pull $400 out of my paychecks, no problem. But I'm already taking a week in August. If I'm still with that job, I shouldn't take more time... even though if I have to do it, I'm doing it. If I'm with the post office by then, I really don't know what my chances would be of being able to get the time off. I'll be new, bottom rung of the ladder, no rights all over again... and while I really don't care about that, if I want to make the trip, I have to have some kind of say.
She knows I really want to go. She'll help out again. She's good at spotting deals.
Need to find out if it'll travel anywhere else, too... but I highly doubt it. I mean highly.
We got two 27" TVs for the basement. Once Dad's finished down there, all the video games are going downstairs. We're going to have both TVs side-by-side, with both XBoxes, for Halo games. I might keep some things up here, though... depends. Anything I play up here, the kids can't be up here with me. It'll get too noisy.
Craig's not around, I think he's with Matt and the others. I should take a nap... but it's after six already, so I guess I'll keep myself awake.
