UPS, you bastards.
Jul. 10th, 2006 05:49 pmSo my package has been on its way since Friday, right? It got to Maspeth this morning, EARLY. Like, three or something. And UPS, according to the tracking info, hasn't put it on the truck to get it to me. Scheduled delivery still says tomorrow.
Dude, someone's gonna get shot in the head if Steve doesn't get here with my package. That is some utter bull, right there. You have my package, you know you have my package, quit arsing around and give me my package. -_-; At least I got my large poster. THAT came by USPS. BIG poster. Need to figure out where to hang it. I'm happy. But not as happy as I should be. I should have magazines and comics to read. Tomorrow.
Work was great, Joan kept away, never mentioned the drawings I was supposed to do but didn't because work was the FURTHEST thing from my mind last week. Tas came in late. Not that that was a good thing or a bad thing, but she just did. And Brian wasn't around, which meant I could read my latest Doctor Who novel in peace. There's a Bad Wolf reference in it. XD Need to read through the other Ninth Doctor novels again, because I think this is the first one that's actually mentioned Bad Wolf. I think. I don't remember reading those in the others. Maybe The Stealers of Dreams.
I fly through those books. Takes me a day at work to read them, distractions included. More novels, please. At this point there's only one I haven't read, of the ones that are out. There are more coming, but in September... and that's too far away. ^^;;;
And that explosion earlier today... if that really was a suicide attempt, they ought to lock that doctor up for the rest of his life. I just don't get it. You want to kill yourself, fine. Your life. But consider the others around you, please. Pills are a hassle-free way of going. And now this guy's survived, and if he survives the burns over 70% of his body, he's REALLY gonna want to kill himself. Psychiatric evaluations, massive jail time, lawsuits like crazy. $4mil will be a laughable amount when everyone's done with him.
Now, I have a new episode of Monk to watch that I didn't even know was coming on. Thank you, DVR, for paying attention when I don't.
