Okay, first of all:
Nov. 10th, 2006 06:18 pmDad's told me in the past about how he stupidly sat on a radiator once while it was on, and instead of hopping right off it, he actually sat there for a few seconds yelling about the extreme heat. I sort of did the same thing with the staple, although I could barely think straight when I realized the thing had punctured my thumb and couldn't yank my finger away from it. ^^; I think it had hooked in or something. I actually had to take the paper in my other hand to get it out. Tas looked at me after I gave a rapid series of "ow ow ow ow ow!", and was like, "It went in?" XD;; I practically ran to my desk for a band-aid and ran to the bathroom to wash the thumb off.
It still hurts, damnit. It's like when I had my blood tested that first time before I donated, and the stupid technician stuck me in the fingertip instead of the side of the finger. Evil woman... or inexperienced, I'm not sure which. I think I'll stick with evil.
Cases... I'm NOT done. For me to even get close to finishing, I'm going to have to work my ass off. So, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, I'm going in extra early, and I'm not leaving until five. I need all the time I can get, and unfortunately, that's not much. I'm not telling Tas or Joan, though. They'll just tell me I shouldn't do it. I'm not leaving that job for them to have to deal with. I started it, I'm finishing it, even if I do have to work unpaid overtime.
They're going to find out anyway. People saw me at work later than usual today, and no doubt Ashraf will be surprised on Monday (if he's not in the field) when he comes in at eight and I'm already there. I think I'm going to be in at 7:30 all three days. That's about an hour and a half more (since I usually get started at close to nine) each day, plus the extra fifteen minutes at the end of Monday and Tuesday. I might leave early Wednesday, but it depends on my progress. If I have to wait until after work to get my hair done, then I'll just have to wait.
I'm going to have to politely ask Karen to kick William's ass for not bringing me a new dumpster when I need it. This is the second time I've asked for one and not had him bring it up. I don't have time to deal with his not wanting to do his job.
