I accidentally stabbed myself in the fingertip--my thumb, of all fingers--with a staple at work. I was removing staples from a case I was purging. Tas was in the room with me putting up the books I've put together so far, and I started trying to pull the staple out with my thumb and index finger because I couldn't get it out with the staple remover (go figure), and it just went RIGHT in.

Dad's told me in the past about how he stupidly sat on a radiator once while it was on, and instead of hopping right off it, he actually sat there for a few seconds yelling about the extreme heat. I sort of did the same thing with the staple, although I could barely think straight when I realized the thing had punctured my thumb and couldn't yank my finger away from it. ^^; I think it had hooked in or something. I actually had to take the paper in my other hand to get it out. Tas looked at me after I gave a rapid series of "ow ow ow ow ow!", and was like, "It went in?" XD;; I practically ran to my desk for a band-aid and ran to the bathroom to wash the thumb off.

It still hurts, damnit. It's like when I had my blood tested that first time before I donated, and the stupid technician stuck me in the fingertip instead of the side of the finger. Evil woman... or inexperienced, I'm not sure which. I think I'll stick with evil.

Cases... I'm NOT done. For me to even get close to finishing, I'm going to have to work my ass off. So, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, I'm going in extra early, and I'm not leaving until five. I need all the time I can get, and unfortunately, that's not much. I'm not telling Tas or Joan, though. They'll just tell me I shouldn't do it. I'm not leaving that job for them to have to deal with. I started it, I'm finishing it, even if I do have to work unpaid overtime.

They're going to find out anyway. People saw me at work later than usual today, and no doubt Ashraf will be surprised on Monday (if he's not in the field) when he comes in at eight and I'm already there. I think I'm going to be in at 7:30 all three days. That's about an hour and a half more (since I usually get started at close to nine) each day, plus the extra fifteen minutes at the end of Monday and Tuesday. I might leave early Wednesday, but it depends on my progress. If I have to wait until after work to get my hair done, then I'll just have to wait.

I'm going to have to politely ask Karen to kick William's ass for not bringing me a new dumpster when I need it. This is the second time I've asked for one and not had him bring it up. I don't have time to deal with his not wanting to do his job.

TGIF, so I can stay up late and work on my word count. And sleep in tomorrow. XD;; But yes, I am only one day ahead right now, and that just can't be.

The last level of EBA on Hard is KILLING ME. There's this one part at the end that keeps tripping me up, not unlike Ready Steady Go did in Ouendan. I'm experiencing the same thing here: I've become nearly an expert on hitting everything before it, but as soon as that part comes up, I go cross-eyed trying to catch all the notes in order. I'm going to get it. I turned it off, though--I'd retried it about twenty times already, that's enough. I can't WAIT until I get to the female agents. Oh god. Methinks I'll be ripping my hair out on some of the songs... again, not unlike Ouendan.

I can totally see some parapara going on with this mix.

Haha.

Dude, the people on 1 vs. 100 lose on the dumbest questions. This woman just got played like a fiddle by two women in the mob. The woman who said she picked "I vs C" as translating to 1 vs 100 "because X is 5 in Roman numerals" just to make the contestant think she didn't know anything deserves a medal for that bluff.

... And Little Nemo is not about fish, Contestant #2.

Gods, get me on this show. XD
meitantei_cj: (DW - 10 - Yay :D)
The fact that this game uses a remixed version of "From the New World" by Antonin Dvorak is more awesome than words can describe. Now I have to dig out my CD and listen to the other movements of the symphony...

Repeat song. XD

Contrary to not-so-popular belief, I'm writing.
