So, let's see who comes in today.

Not many people are looking forward to the holiday party upstairs today, probably mainly because of the singing portion Digna has insisted everyone take part in. Yeah, no? This isn't grade school, Digna.

Then again, Joan did the same thing. I kind of see them as being a bit alike, although Digna's much more tolerable. Joan told me I could draw a Christmas tree in five minutes for the talent show we had. I (wish I'd) told her to bite me. :D

I know for a fact Kwesi is here, because he's attending a couple meetings today. Maureen is here; she left something on Dona's chair. Dona should be here. Alyce HAS to be here since she's presenting something at the party. I'm obviously here (though why, I have no idea... and I might even leave early if my stomach doesn't behave). I know of three people so far in IT who aren't in today.

I think I've decided on Dad's present, though I'm not sure I can give it to him on Christmas. The day after would be better, really. XD; It'd really be something for the whole family... as long as Dad behaves. I shall give him explicit orders not to touch it for anything other than its purpose, or I get it back. Heheh.

I'm also supposed to be trying to find out what else Craig wants for Christmas (because, really, the new 360 wasn't supposed to be an issue, but since Microsoft can't make their products correctly...), but that may be difficult to do. We're not going to PA this weekend because the weather will be evil. I'll have to figure out a way to ask him what he wants without just saying outright, "What do you want for Christmas?" I'm sure there's something else he wants, but everything has slipped my mind right now. All I remembered was Metroid Prime 3, and he got that from me already.

Party was fun.

But I said I wasn't singing from the moment the party was announced, so I didn't. XD I did hang around while they sang, though. I left once they broke out the desserts, because let's face it, I have all the chocolate I want at home, and milk to go with it. I don't need to add to it. ^^; They did a presentation of how the holidays are celebrated in different places, too. Everyone had a good time. Of course, there being two floors of people in two conference rooms, it was a bit cramped, but some people went back to their desks once they were done eating, so it loosened up.

The day's pretty much over now. I'd be drawing, as I'd started to before going back upstairs, but Bill Travis is here. Bill Travis is the deputy commissioner of IT. He's Joel's boss, basically. And Joel is Kwesi's boss. It's basically Tax all over again; Brian-being-Joan-being-Tas's boss. That sort of thing. So, because Bill is around, although he's a very nice guy, I don't want to pull my pencil back out. I don't like drawing around higher-ups. And, as far as I know, he wasn't at the party, so there's none of that relaxed feeling everyone else has. ^^;

New ZEN!

32GB. And according to... err, some site I found while looking for info, it's NOT going to have a hard drive in it. It's going to have two SD slots side by side instead, 16GB a piece.

Price is a bit high, but I'm considering it just because it will not have a hard drive. It's thinner and smaller than the ZVM, will hold a little more if I want it to, but HD players are more fragile simply because they have HDs. My ZVM may just have to sit in my room dead. The ZEN probably doesn't have that stupid sync adapter, either, which means the player won't get fried because it got bent or plugged in after it got jossled out or whatever. ^^;

Seriously, I miss having an MP3 player that does NOT play CDs. Something small.

But that will have to wait, because I don't think it's out on the market yet, and I don't have the money right now anyway. It's bad enough this paycheck is basically shot. Too much came out this check, and it's the end of the three months, so more pills for me; another $130. After I buy NiGHTS next week and head up to the house on Friday, I'm not spending anything else. ^^;

There's something on eBay right now. It ends tomorrow. It's MINE. I know I said I wasn't spending, but this may end up being one of those things I'll kick myself for not bidding on. It's not expensive right now, anyway, and only one person's bid on it. If it can just keep off of everyone's radar, maybe I can snag it.
