Why is it only Wednesday? -_- Mom's going to meet Dad halfway between here and the house so they can swap cars. Dad's putting hers in the shop. If it were later in the week, I'd totally take the rest of it off and go up early. I'll probably end up going early anyway, just skipping Friday and going up tomorrow night or something. Don't want to skip tomorrow since I have a meeting. (Although my part in it is done. I'm back to being the note-taker.) Fridays are pointless.

I think I'm going to skip Friday. I'll put in a leave slip today.

The boss sent me an Excel spreadsheet yesterday after I'd already left for the day and said he didn't know which job title the spreadsheet was for. Guess where the job title is? Directly above the spreadsheet. Oh, and let's not forget in the subject of the e-mail: IS2. That stands for Implementation Specialist 2. That is the job title. He KNOWS that's what it means.

Anyway, what he was going to have me work on (probably because he went straight to a meeting this morning and GASP if I have nothing to do!) is, I'm pretty sure, a waste of time because one of the workers at ACS was already working on it, and just sent her work to us. Honestly, I have stuff to do, I don't need him heaping crap on me. And I just got started working on Steve's receipts again after Nancy had me trying to figure out why Project was trying to print 6987 pages (no, really) when the file's only 17 pages long.

He's not even in the office yet. He will be in a bit, most likely. I'm going to keep working on the receipts and hope he stays out of my hair. And I need to send him that leave slip.

I'm not in the best mood today... -_- One more day.

A summer break on the gas tax? Too bad it'll never pass. Nice idea, though. Joe's skeptical about McCain's sincerity about the idea, but I do know McCain's more intelligent than the idiot in office now.

I feel no sympathy for the guy getting sued by JK Rowling. Wanted to show her genius, my ass. There are no new books coming out in the series--unless she decides to go back to it, which she can do; it's her series. Until then, there's nothing. Anyone with a brain knows that a new book, especially an encyclopedia, would sell like crazy, and at $25 a book? If money had nothing to do with it, he'd be happy running his website.

Anyway, took Friday off... but with the PIDs meeting canceled and Rani back and taking over the running/sending of reports, I have absolutely no reason to come in tomorrow. Haha. I'll come in anyway, though. I still have Steve's database to work on.

Methinks I was right about getting busy work earlier: The boss hasn't mentioned it all day. He'd have asked about it by now. There's no need to ask for it because Julie did it already. I do not appreciate work for the sake of work. If you actually need something done, fine. Don't just give me stuff to give it to me. There's no one here that's going to care what I'm doing.

Honestly, this isn't like Tax where the vampire Brian would skulk around the floors. The only people with any weight around here don't leave the 24th floor. 9_9

On the Pope:

Me: I didn't know the Pope is as old as he is.
Mom: Yeah, he's old.
Me: He doesn't look at old. (He probably does, but I'm still so used to the image of John Paul II. THAT is old. Benedict XVI definitely doesn't strike me as an 81-year-old.)
Mom: Yeah, he does. He looks demonic, too.
Me: He does! He looks like a villain you don't want your kids around...
Mom: You know we're both going to hell for this, right?

SERIOUSLY THOUGH. XD;; He looks odd for the type of figure he is. He can't help what he looks like, though... much like our beloved president can't help looking like a chimpanzee.

Methinks I'm going up early tomorrow. I'm debating whether or not to go to work, as I'd only be working about two and a half hours. The question is, do I care enough to go to work knowing there's pretty much know point? The answer is, probably not.
