So the three cops that killed Sean Bell have been acquitted on all charges.

Ignore the manslaughter and felony assault charges for a sec (and the horrible prosecution and the witnesses' inconsistent testimony). Here's the thing: Cleared of reckless endangerment? By shooting 50 freaking bullets?

Cooperman's an ass and needs to be smacked over the head with his own gavel. Hard. They should've gotten manslaughter too, and would have if they were anyone else. But no, they're cops, and they can do what they want. And they don't even get a slap on the wrist. They walk.

Would be nice if this city would stop feeding the god complex our cops seem to have. (Looking at you, Oliver. Kindly wipe the smirk off your face. Show some respect for the guy you killed, eh?)

I knew this would happen, though. The second they said it wasn't going to a jury, I knew.

Right, so... the ZVM has pretty much had it.

It's doing something it's never done before: Sometimes when I'm walking, it has slow-down moments. You know how you're playing a cassette and it effs up and gets distorted? Yeah. Like that. My old one never did that, and the replacement didn't get a chance to before it got fried. Told Mom, and she said something about finding the third-party warranty she bought with it, which I think only replaces the player. Hoping it'll replace it with something of the same value. We spent about $230 on those ZVMs; if I could somehow put that towards the purchase of a new ZEN, I'll be cool. I've about had it with hard drive-based players. And unless you're going to give me a case with a belt clip (as I don't wear belts), I'm gonna need a player that can stand some jostling when I'm walking around, because I tend to walk fast. I believe the ZEN's case has a belt clip, not belt loop.

J&R has the new ZEN. I actually got a look at it yesterday out of its packaging. It's so small. I was tempted to buy it as I was buying Dad's present, but their stupid 14-day return/exchange policy can kiss my ass. 9_9 Best Buy really needs to start carrying Creative MP3 players. No idea why they don't.

The day is crawling, but it's peaceful, so I have no complaints. Might try to draw in a bit.

EDIT: Ah. Found out why Best Buy stopped selling Creative products. Possibly. Looks like I'll have to keep them out of this. That completely blows...
