Spent the night at Nick's last night, and went out to his parents' place in Suffolk County. They have horses and chickens and a couple of ducks, and three cats. They used to have six. I fell in love with the black one called Bella--adorable, seems to love people, fluffy tail, white paws. She was the sweetest thing. Peanut Butter (he's orange) is apparently a pain in the butt (XD) and Kitten wouldn't come near me at first, but while I was sitting and talking with Nick's parents, she came by and rubbed against my legs, so I knew she'd let me pet her. Very sweet. The whole family is, really. And it's hilarious that there are so many parallels between our two families.
Nick and I walked through Blydenburgh Park, which consists of plenty of horse trails, camping sites, lots of nature. It's a HUGE park. The paths aren't premade, either. People walking is what makes a path. There is a main trail marked by blue on the trees that you can follow, but Nick led me down all these little side paths. He and his friends used to go to that park all the time and spend whole days there. It took us about three hours to go through the entire thing. We were dying when we got out, and I actually borrowed one of Nick's t-shirts because mine was so soaked. I also discovered the joy that is Gatorade. I've never bothered with those drinks before.
I held a toad for the first time ever. XD We found a small one too, but I couldn't hold him well and he jumped out of my hands.
The mosquitoes bit me worse than I thought they had. They absolutely MAULED my right arm... I have seventeen bites. Evil, evil things.
We hopped into Dave & Buster's really quickly on the way back, and played a game of Mario Kart GP, Daytona USA, and Time Crisis 4. When I'm rich, I'm getting a Time Crisis machine for the basement. Totally. I love those games so much.
Anyway, I need something to nibble on, then I'm going to bed. I might take it easy tomorrow. ^^;
