Mwahaha, I like, LJ. I like.

Anyway. Did I mention my godmother (getting her Master's in nursing, I believe so she can teach) said that nursing careers are the way to go? Well, she did, so I'm looking into it. I can get an Associate's and work up from there. I'm a little wary of the whole needle and blood thing, but I imagine I'd be able to get used to it. And I'd have to go to BMCC down here instead of going to LaGuardia, because if I go to LaG, I'll be too tempted to jump over to Veterinary Technology. XD; BMCC is within walking distance of my job, anyway. LaG's going out of my way. I just keep looking at LaG because it has so many things I'm interested in (fine arts and vet tech being the big ones).

As for a specialty, at least right now, I'm looking at pediatric oncology--caring for kids/teens/young adults with cancer. That spoke to me as soon as I read about it. I think I'd want to do something with kids anyway, even though the whole reason for the nursing boom is the growth of the elderly population. I like kids, and kids like me.

Nick later, kitties tonight. Let's see which cat gets my lap first and if Nevada ends up trying to climb onto my shoulders again. XD I get to go there tomorrow night, too, since I said I'd cover upstairs. Might go home first, in the hope that Mom will said, "I'll come with you," when I go back out.

No, I'm absolutely not going to give up on this. I'm not going to argue over it, but I'm not going to be subtle, either.

THIS is the stubbornness that's always associated with Taureans. ^^; I feel a bit childish sometimes, but 80% of me is like "Screw it, I want a cat." And I don't want someone else running off with Nevada! ^^;;

I can't wait to get out of here, bleh. Dying. At least I have money again.

I printed out my natal chart (a free one with actual INFO in it, yay!) and I'm currently highlighting all the stuff that applies to me. (I'm doing a lot of highlighting.) I noticed this under Mars in Libra:

"Passive-aggressiveness is practically the hallmark of this position. They don't want to look like they are ever being mean or unfair, but aggression has to go somewhere! Too often, this results in sneaky behavior and subterfuge."

I'm DYING right now. That is the perfect description for what happened on Monday, when I went for a walk with Dad and Gail and ended up convincing Dad that I should get a cat. That's hilarious. I'm showing it to Mom next time we're both up at the same time. "See, it's not my fault!" XD

Here's the chart. Enjoy!

Work: Who cares.

Nick: Took me to a burger place (... and the name escapes me right now, blah) with huge burgers. And he had the nerve to ask me if I wanted fries! XD; We stuffed ourselves on our burgers (I couldn't finish mine, he did better than I), and walked the nine blocks to Ollie's Place, where I invited him upstairs to see the cats since he had half an hour to kill before his class.

Cats: Nick proceeded to pet every cat, upstairs and downstairs, even the ones I warned him like to nip/bite/scratch. Micho actually licked his hand, which absolutely shocked me. He couldn't pet Nevada, sadly, since Nevada's sick with a cold. Poor baby kept reaching out to everyone like, "Let me out, please?" He was breaking our hearts. ^^; As for the others, Sunshine and Wendy gave me kisses (aww!) and Shortie, who always looks mean and hates it when you try to pet his head, relaxed and let me pet him, and actually rolled over onto his side in his bed. I finally got to see the sweet side of him everyone's always talking about. Also, I got Claire to ride on my back to her favorite spot on the pillows (although when I tried to get her to go back at the end of the night, she got her claw stuck in my sweater and it upset her, so someone else had to "escort" her back to her crate), Stevie and I seemed to form a bond, and one of the little bits (either Demi or Minnie--I always get them mixed up) crawled onto my lap and was very happy there, hehe. I love those cats. Going back there tomorrow--there was a shortage and someone needed to cover upstairs, so I volunteered. I'll probably be there by myself, but volunteers tend to come by whenever they feel like coming by, even when they're not scheduled.

It should be fun putting Lena back in her crate tomorrow. XD;;;

Um...

... my back is hurting again. NO. ;_; I think the bending and floor-sitting at the shelter upset the condition again. Blah.

Oh well, bed. Not really tired just yet, but getting into bed would be nice. Need to lay down.
