Up: Craig's report card came yesterday. He got a 100, a 95, a bunch of 80s, and one 74, but that was in biology and no one in this family (dad) can jump down his throat about that. His average is about 84%.

Down: I think I'm getting sick again. I've had an annoying mucus problem all day. Freaking post-nasal drip.

Up: Dona came in and told me I've been doing better this week, mood-wise.

Down: Then the boss came in, decided to be an ass, and completely ruined the good mood. You do not tell me how to do my job. Also, instead of telling me that Joseph "should probably leave the agenda with you, since he gets here so late" (and by the way, WHAT?! If that's not the most blatant case of pot and kettle I've EVER HEARD...), you should tell Joseph. Because, you know, you're the boss and all. How about you stop acting like you're the big man and BE it for a change? Oh, that's right, because that means you have to do actual work. [/rant]

Up: Chicken teriyaki for lunch solely because I went to the seaport to preorder Halo Wars. Haven't been down there in at least a month. Probably closer to two. Also, MadWorld on the Wii? Totally think I want that. Craig's unsure, but Craig hasn't seen it. I don't usually go for those types of games (Gears of War still gets at me a bit--I'm not big on gore at all), but MadWorld's visuals are extremely interesting. It's like a black-and-white cel-shaded comic. Aside from the blood, which is, of course, shown in all its red glory. The animation's really smooth, too. And the whole "how many ways can you kill a guy" thing... It sounds like a good stress-buster. And it'll be good for me to have here because there's no Xbox and therefore no Grunt skull-bashing here. XD;;

Down: The reason I haven't gotten the textbook for my next class is possibly because Ashworth College had the wrong address. I've logged into my account at least three times this week, and just now when I went to check what date they sent the second shipment of my book, I got a message saying my address was wrong and they couldn't ship me anything. They had all of the address but the apartment number. Anyway, the book shipped via priority mail on the 19th, and it hasn't gotten here yet. This better not become a trend. If it does, they'll have me for one semester and that's it, or I might forget to have my transcripts sent to them and have my registration canceled. I don't care if I have to finish the payments. It's a contract, and it won't be the first time I've paid something through after stopping just because of a signed/agreed-upon contract.

Down again: Yessenia asked the secretaries yesterday for their fax machine's model name and serial number. We have two here in IT, so I sent her this:

Hi Yessenia,
X2526 (near me): SN#UZS(...)
X1310 (near Dennis): SN#UZS(...)
Both fax machines are Canon Laser Class 710s.

She sends me an e-mail while I'm out at lunch telling me she forgot to ask for the phone numbers. The extensions are Right. There. Also, Keesha regularly sends out a telephone directory that totally has our fax numbers in it. Do I really have to spell it out? I haven't answered Yessenia and I'm not sure I'm going to. I'm going to leave it alone and let her figure it out. I have mentioned that she's the Special Assistant to the Commissioner, right?

Up: Joseph, Dona, Alyce, and I have a fun little break in which we talked about everything from me threatening to kick Keesha's ass to why we still don't have a color copier despite being THE IT DEPARTMENT (and are forced to hold onto an old Konica-Minolta that spends its time off as it doesn't work properly anymore regardless of servicing) to David Paterson's horrible ideas to fix the budget. It took some aggravation out of my day so far.

I am so totally ready to go home.

Oh! One more thing! Up: I got Oliver to go Down for the first time yesterday! The first time I had to physically put his front legs into position and tell him "Down", but afterwards, I said it again and, after a few seconds, he did it on his own. He only did it once, but just the fact that he did it by himself made me SO happy. Also related to dogs, I've gotten e-mails back from the three girls who did apprenticeships with Renee and all three of them had great things to say about her. Also, she doesn't mind waiting for me to take out the loan.

Now, two hours left. Hopefully two very quiet hours.
