Roger Ebert gave Watchmen four stars?
Mar. 5th, 2009 08:55 amI skipped reading the review because I'm not spoiling myself. This bit has no spoilers, obviously.
"The film is rich enough to be seen more than once. I plan to see it again, this time on IMAX, and will have more to say about it. I’m not sure I understood all the nuances and implications, but I am sure I had a powerful experience. It’s not as entertaining as “The Dark Knight,” but like the “Matrix” films, LOTR and “The Dark Knight,” it’s going to inspire fevered analysis. I don’t want to see it twice for that reason, however, but mostly just to have the experience again."
Well damn, now I HAVE to watch it. ^^; (Also? Have to watch The Dark Knight. Yeah, still haven't seen it. I'm just not used to the idea of psychopath!Joker yet, even though I know that's how he was intended to be.) Also, I love that Solid Freakin' Snake was involved. That amuses me. I was just on the website and was reading the "About" section, and it was like... "David Hayter wrote the screenplay?!"
Craig called last night to tell me about that chick down south that called 911 three times because the McDonalds she went to ran out of chicken nuggets and wouldn't give her a refund. That was bad enough, but when I actually heard the call yesterday morning...
"Well, did you speak to the manager?"
"She say she ARE the manager."
And then my brain twisted. XD;; WHAT.
I want to draw. Not sure what yet. I have scanning to do, really. Have that picture of Ani I said I would scan in like a month ago, a picture of CJ I might redo, and one of Troie I just finished a couple days ago that I really like--I went design-crazy on her clothes. XD The only thing I don't like on her is her arm, and I might redo it if I can keep from smudging the pencil.
EDIT: Also: Why I used to have a red panda plush.
