Okay, couple things.
May. 6th, 2009 07:47 pmOne, they switched web content filters at work. I can't get LiveJournal or deviantART anymore. (The former I used quite a bit when having a bad day, the latter was only really used when I wanted to check something.) Both of their reasons for being blocked were along the lines of "social networking and personals". So far so good, right?
Guess what I CAN access, which I found out through Maureen?
SECOND LIFE.
Maureen said it might be because companies represent themselves on it, but still, social networking, hello?
I CAN access Seventh Sanctum again, though; the other filter blocked it a couple years ago and said it was a game site, which it absolutely is not, unless you call clicking "generate" a game. I don't. Pretty sure no one else does, either. Anyway, we'll see how long that accessibility lasts.
Two, just got back from walking Oliver, and ran into the neighborhood mini schnauzer. (He's the most adorable thing--he's black and white, the kind of dog you'd name Pepper, and has black rings around his eyes. He looks like a bandit.) He actually pawed at Oliver and went into a play bow. Poor Oliver didn't know how to handle that. XD The whole walk, the schnauzer kept looking to see if Oliver was still around. So cute. Next time I see them, I'm going to ask his owner what his name is.
Three, now that I suspect Wally's won the last jackpot in my scratch off game of choice, I've had to find a new game. I bought a Win For Life ticket yesterday, scratched it off, got my $2 back. I traded that ticket in for a new one this morning. Scratched that one off, got the $2 back. I'm taking that as a sign to keep playing that game. It's not like I've never lost on that game before, but to win twice in a row... it's got my superstition going. ^^; Also, on the subject of lotteries, I told Dad he needs to play Powerball more, because it's always retirees that hit. (Was joking of course.) He said if I give him a few dollars, he'll go play the tickets. It'd be so hilarious if we won.
The Cricut has arrived! Shall play with it on Friday.
