meitantei_cj: (Trust me--NOT amused.)
Mom gave him a steak bone with some meat on it yesterday, and he hadn't eaten his food (she just told me he'd eaten a little bit because she'd smeared some on his mouth to get him started, but he didn't eat a lot--it was basically an excuse, because I doubt it was anywhere near enough to keep his stomach in check), so he had a complete change in diet from what he's had, and boom, crap all over the house.

I told her no more food for him from the plate. Seriously, if he hasn't eaten his own food, it's going to fuck up his stomach. HELLO. We've been through this, I think twice already!

So anyway, I sprayed everything with Resolve, and I think she's supposed to be cleaning the stains up, but hasn't done it, so I'm going to go do it. She's walking Oliver, and she's dealing with anything else he does. Of course, I also have to clean Oliver's butt. I told her that. I can't remember if she said she'll do it.

Honestly, she doesn't listen to me when I tell her how much to feed him (she filled his bowl again yesterday), she doesn't listen when I say let him eat his own food first if you're gonna give him anything. He's MY dog. She overfeeds him because she doesn't want him bothering her (put him in my room and close the door!) and she gives him bones because he's cute or something. And he is. But stomach fuckupery is not something I want to deal with in the morning.

I like the way it reads. It doesn't read like a typical boring straight-with-the-facts textbook: It's more casual and reads more like a person talking and less like a book. I just read the preface and a couple pages of the first chapter, and I like it. Also, I don't know if the school's getting the book back. XDDD It's actually a nice book. Full color, nice size, clear plastic overlays of diagrams (such as the brain and the parts of the eye). I guess I'll give the school its book back since it's a custom edition, and I'll pick up the regular edition, if I like the course enough. I'm curious to know what the difference is, what was left out of our version.

I have to head down to the school tomorrow, because I need to get my ID card. Was never told during registration that I was supposed to be getting one, or where to get it. Apparently our pictures were supposed to be taken during registration. I never heard an utterance about pictures or cameras or IDs, but this may be because I was likely registered on one of the first registration days and things weren't exactly set yet. So, ID office tomorrow, likely during lunch (or after work if Mom and I don't go to the house until night, in which case I'll probably leave work early to give myself/the staff at the ID office time). Would be kickass if the boss decided to take tomorrow off: No one really cares if I end up taking an hour and a half-two hours (worst-case scenario) to get this done, but I still don't like abusing my time when he's around. People tend to take long lunch breaks to do anything from go shopping to go to gym classes, but I just don't feel comfortable doing it, even when it's school-related and absolutely necessary because I need an ID card. He won't jump on my back about it though, because tomorrow's Friday and therefore automatically a dead day.

The Common Reading for the Opening Session is "Dreams of My Father" by our dear president. First thought when I read that was "Oh, sure, pick the one I DON'T have, you losers!" XD I don't have to read the book, as the discussion isn't a mandatory thing, but I may read it over the course of next week anyway. $5 off with Borders' super coupon! I love Borders Rewards. (The letter says it's "our gift to you when you register at the college", which never came up when I registered, but then, I DID register back in mid-June. Like I said, I'm sure a lot of things weren't set. So, technically, I should be getting it free, but I don't mind buying it.)
