So I'm gonna have to beat people up in the Bursar's office today. Apparently I owe them money from last semester, which is total bull... so after class, I'll have to go down there and find out what this is all about. It might be about the tuition voucher I put in for English 102. I put it in because I wasn't planning on dropping the class, but the school's screw-up made me, so technically, if the school got money from my union, it's for a class I'm not taking.

Then I have to go to C-740, which I believe is the e-Portfolio room.

Honestly, they put these stops on your record, but you don't get any notification at all. I forget what I was on eSIMS for, but if I hadn't clicked on the Stops link, I wouldn't have seen the Bursar stop OR the advisement stop. I don't click that link since, having taken out a loan, I always have a Stops link and it wouldn't look out of place to me.

I have to go to the Morgan Library before class next week to do my report, and today would be a good day, but I'm going to have my portfolio and I'm not gonna feel like going while carrying that. Problem is, they're closed on Monday, and most days they close too early for me to get there after work, so I'll end up leaving early from work on Wednesday or something if I don't go today. And I'll probably go first thing in the morning and go to work after that (unless I need more time for other homework, in which case I'll probably take off Tuesday, go to the library, come back home, and finish everything up. I need to finish my painting, and I need to go get some more paint and a case to put them in, but I can't get it just yet because my bank account is absolutely SHOT. I'm waiting for a refund for something I ordered and canceled yesterday. And I am not using my credit card.

Anyway.

Progress!

Also, since I started eating the Fiber Plus bars for either breakfast or (more often) lunch every workday a week ago, I've lost 1.6 lbs (going by Wii Fit balance board). Yesterday I actually didn't get breakfast since I lacked the cash and didn't walk over to the bank, and I had one bar all day, until I got home and had fried shrimp and salad.

But yeah, this is still drinking soda (can't quite break the habit of getting my breakfast with a 20 oz. Pepsi), still eating what I like, no extra exercise (I already walk pretty briskly when I'm out, crowds on the street permitting--lots of dodging involved down by work, what with all the suits and tourists). Mornings are usually a bagel and soda, and lunch/rest of the workday is Fiber Plus and a liter of water. It's working pretty well for me, I think.

The state (HESC to be exact) paid only $140 of the $200 they were supposed to pay for the Fall term--$20 a credit times the seven credits I was registered for in the first session. Completely ignored the second session's three credits, hence I'm missing $60. Well, they're missing $60. I don't owe a thing, and I'm not paying it. Either the system catches up and realizes that I took ten credits (and if it wasn't paid, WHY was I able to register?), or I have to go down there and knock some heads. And they will not shuffle me back and forth between Bursar and Financial Services. They're three blocks apart. They'll get one another on the phone while I'm standing there.

Anyway. Just fired off an e-mail to HESC, and I'll see what they say about it. Tomorrow. Because they're closed now, of course.

Spent tonight fixing my painting and watching various Doctor Who episodes. I love that show. Oh, and the promotional picture with Eleven and Amy floating in the time vortex? Totally went by me today while I was walking to school. On the side of a bus. Doctor Who has hit the big time, haha. I immediately whipped out my phone while walking and texted Dad to tell him how cool it was to see the Eleventh Doctor on the side of a NYC bus.
