Maybe it's because I'm not familiar with how DA works, but why do you even have to keep things in categories?

Because everyone who doesn't like anime would shit themselves if they got lumped together with THAT. -_- That's where all this comes from, I think. There are a LOT of people on dA, admins and members, that don't like anime.
