Okay, I wasn't in the city when it happened, but I wish I'd gone to the pride parade in the city. I haven't gone since the first one two years ago... can't remember why I didn't go last year. And this year, I thought about it, but decided to go to PA anyway... and felt pangs of regret when we came back home and saw all the parade-goers hanging out along the West Side highway. It was freaking hot that day, but I still would've gone. Would've just had to find a shady spot.

Just, there was a girl there two years ago. Mimi. She had the most beautiful smile. I was too shy to mention it. We just kinda hung around each other and talked and smiled at each other while we were there.

I really need to be more assertive, don't I?
