... to ignore anything Joan says to me today that's not a request to do something work-related. She riles me up, and I think she knows it. To know my/my mom's situation and keep talking about it the way she did shows that she really doesn't give a crap what I think or feel. And my opinions never matter to her, even when she asks for them. I'll start talking and she immediately interrupts and will not listen to anything I have to say.

It's weird having Mom home at this time. She usually doesn't get in for another three hours or so.
