Because it's cute.
I forgot Brits say zebra with a short e. Not one of those words you hear all the time. XD;
So today was spent doing very little. Ashley helped me put up our horrible-looking Christmas tree. It looks bad. Seriously. The poor thing's shot. ^^; I think next year, new tree.
I also got to talk to Cheresse, who was helping me put paper on Kwesi's door (and the main door once Ashley came). She said I'm cool. She said she was worried, once she heard there'd be a new secretary, that I'd be like the previous one, who apparently was NOT well-liked by anyone except Kwesi. From what I hear, she talked way too much, she e-mailed about the dumbest things that had nothing to do with anything ("Ashley, do you want some trail mix?" is one e-mail, which Ashley told me about herself), she brought her pet turtle to work... and Joseph said she would say the weirdest things, like, things a woman shouldn't be saying to a man in a professional environment. XD; That's good, though. Apparently my being quiet is actually pretty welcome there. Anyway, Cheresse asked me how I like working there so far, which is how the whole conversation kicked off. Feeling much better about her now. She's also very quiet (but not with Ashley, as the two of them seem to have this best friend thing going, the kind I had with Sally), and it's weird meeting another person like that, I think. Most of the people I've met in my life aren't as... silent as I can be. How does one who's only dealt with outgoing people deal with someone who keeps to themselves?
It's something to think about. I'm probably experiencing the same thing everyone else does with me. It's good to know she likes me, though. ^_^

It's good that you're getting along well enough at work, though. Good luck with all that. :)
