That is the word to describe my boss today.
Sent an e-mail out hours ago about the front door's lock being broken. 7 out of 10 times, the door will work, according to Yessenia. She put up a sign saying the lock was broken and they're working on it. Someone takes down the sign, the deputy comissioner complains to the boss, the boss asks me about it. The sign was on the door when I got in at ten to eight this morning, and I said that after getting a SECOND e-mail about the sign. Turns out that was another sign Yessenia printed and taped up.
She comes to me later and says that, despite the footnote saying NOT to remove the sign, someone has gone and done just that. I send an e-mail to the entire 23rd floor saying to leave the thing up, the lock is still broken despite it possibly working for you all the time, blah blah blah. I then tape up ANOTHER copy of the same sign and highlight "Until further notice" and "Please do not remove this sign".
Boss came to me a few minutes ago. "So... the lock on the door, is it still broken?"
And suddenly, I think it's HIM that keeps taking the sign down.
STOP MEDDLING, you idiot. And don't ask me if the lock is fixed. Upstairs never tells me anything. You know why they told me at all? Because SOMEONE kept taking the sign down and making Yessenia come down to replace it. Because THEY got inconvenienced. Ask THEM. I have nothing to do with it.
I'm going home in forty minutes and playing with my dog. Tempted to go back to the ASPCA and ask them about that Animal Care Technician job, but I think I'll do that another day.
