Was going to volunteer at the Brooklyn AC&C location, because they're desperately in need of volunteers there, but apparently it's in a BAD neighborhood where people like to shoot at people at night. The Manhattan location has a waiting list, so I might just have to set myself up on the waiting list. ^^; I love animals, but unless it's my job to be out there (in which case I'd probably be out there during the day and it'd be a moot point), I'm not getting shot for them. I can help elsewhere. Methinks they'd get more volunteers if the neighborhood wasn't such a thug hole.
We watched the inauguration at work, and absolutely NO work got done today. I mean none. The boss and two others spent the entire day watching the screen, even though the rest of us left after the Bushes left. There was no point in being at work today. ^^; Dona kept asking me who people were when they were shown and bugging me because I didn't know. I hate history, okay?
Obama was awesome. His speech made me so happy. Michelle looked beautiful. The girls were adorable. The sheer size of the crowd was amazing. It was just very, very cool.
Anyway, dog walking in a bit. Must also sleep tonight without the TV on. I left the TV on Animal Planet since the majority of their programming was dog-related, and turned the TV BACK on when it shut off because the silence woke me up and bothered me. I spent the first hour or so trying to catch some extra Zs. Not good!
Paid tomorrow, yay! Can't spend any money, though. Have an appointment with Dr. Boyer on Thursday to see about lowering my Cymbalta dosage and possibly eventually getting off it altogether, and that's $100 just for the visit. And Booboo needs more food here. It's not urgent, but it's cheaper up there.
