We just dodged a major bullet.
Aug. 24th, 2004 11:07 amWith the Sedona dying, we have a major problem. It threw a rod, just like the guy said when he picked us up in the tow truck.
What we didn't know until a while ago was that the rod pierced the engine block. The engine was totally blown.
Mom and Dad just spent the past half hour tearing up the house looking for a receipt from Jiffylube, because Jiffylube put the wrong oil in last time they changed the oil. Kia engines have different engine fluid, and Jiffylube stupidly assumed that it was all the same thing. The engine, according to Mom and Dad, hasn't been running right since.
If we didn't find that receipt, we'd end up having to pay for a new engine from our own pockets, which would've been thousands of dollars that we just don't have.
I think they're still looking for another receipt... but I'm pretty sure the engine will be covered by the warranty now.

I found a way around it. X) Dad taped this carpet-grabbing fabric to the bottom of my mat, and now the thing doesn't move at all. I have to get more to stick on my other pad. ^_____^
Just got finished playing Workout mode... and I would play more, except I just washed the sweat off myself and don't want to put it back on, hehehe.
Anyway... I'm still here. I think Mom knows I don't want to go back, because she's not pressing the issue. If I decide for sure that I'm not going back tonight, I can call Tas's phone and leave her a message... and avoid any conversation about it, mwahahahaha.
But yeah... I doubt I'm going home tonight or early tomorrow morning. Definitely not tomorrow morning... because that would involve waking up at a ridiculous hour to hop on the train at Port Jervis for two freaking hours. I woulddn't feel like going to work after that.
