XDDD OMG, the newest TARDISode, what the hell? I'm so glad the acting was supposed to be so bad. I think. Wahaha.

Watching America's Got Talent--specifically, the ventriloquist with the bird puppets. The guy was crap until he started with the Godzilla spoof. Live Godzilla-style lip syncing? Yes. Reminiscent of Jones from Police Academy. With huge overstuffed birds. And the 8-year-old stand-up comic was good, too. I really don't think the audience thought what came out of her mouth WOULD come out of her mouth. Everyone was stuck in that "Holy crap, she's EIGHT" thing.

Example (and I'm paraphrasing): "Y'all know I'm half black, right? Brandy, you and me are here." *eye... pointy... thing. (Shu'up. 9_9)* "I love black women. But why are we so fat? Don't we eat vegetables...?"

People were fine until the "fat" line. I really think they expected sweet words from a sweet little girl. But that's what comedy is. If you lack punch, who's gonna remember you in the end?

One more day of work. Almost came home early, but Dad called. Dad called and broke up the utter monotony that was going on. Dad and I were on the phone for over an hour while I figured out WHY those Doctor Who files won't play on any computer but the Dell. Dad never took the K-Lite Codec Pack off when he got the laptop, y'see. None of the other computers have it. (The Compaq laptop might, but that DVD drive can't even read the disc, so it doesn't matter.) The files play fine on the Dell, though. So I talked Dad through downloading the codec pack, and the files now work on his computer. Except the second disc, which is the two-part first season finale, The Christmas Invasion, and all of the second season up to episode seven. Blasted CRC errors got me again. I only have that problem with those discs, though... but that's okay, because I have others now, newer discs. And as far as I know, those work. I told Dad I'd bring him the discs I just made this week. I can always write them again. Since these are newer, they take about a third the amount of time to write than the others.

Whoo, rambly thing there. Whatever, point is, his call woke me up.

You get Ten's RAWR face, because it amuses me. He pulls the best faces. (And no one should look that good with sideburns. How does one look that good with sideburns?) Need a good icon of him in the glasses, though. And I need more icons of Jack. Jack is awesome.

I mentioned I haven't been eating lunch at work, right? Just having a 16oz bottle of Nesquik chocolate milk every morning and dinner when I get home? I got on the scale last week sometime. I was a certain weight. Okay, fine. Not where I want to be, but I know I'm up in that range anyway, right?

I got on it again last night. I was roughly six pounds less. This makes me very happy. I've done nothing but steadily gain weight on this stupid job. About twenty pounds of it, I'd say.

This isn't totally because of the lunch-skipping, but I think that's playing a damn big part in it. But I walk fast, and jog up and down the stairs of the subway. I guess that's making up for not using the treadmill, which I think I might use tomorrow morning before work.

Still, don't care. Weight loss is good. Twenty pounds and I'll be happy. Doubtful, the way I eat, but if the scale's just not acting stupid and I really did lose six pounds, then I can lose it that way. All about calories, I think. I don't eat the best foods for lunch at work. Maybe if we can find some decent freaking grapes, I'll bring some to work to nibble on throughout the day.

Jo said I'm gonna melt away. XD Then again, she thought I was losing weight when I most certainly was not.

Ah, jobs. Speaking of that, I got a call from a woman with SUNY College of Optometry. For an interview. Next Tuesday morning. That's right. Same day as the one for the job in TCD. I told her I had an interview already, and I wouldn't be able to make it to HER interview. She said she'd call me back if they have any other interview days. As soon as I hung up the phone, I realized what an UTTER IDIOT I am. See, that college, or its office anyway, is on 42nd Street. 42nd between 5th and 6th. You know what that means? That means the whole thing about having to get to the Port Authority depot wouldn't matter a bit. It'd be a matter of walking a couple blocks. It would've been a perfect location. Hell, if I wanted to, I could commute between there and the house. If I wanted to stay behind while Mom went home one Sunday, I could just get on the bus from Hawley. (... Once I get my driver's license and can actually drive myself down there.)

Hoping she'll call back, say there's another date they're holding interviews on. According to Jo and Tas, the women who work in TCD are some of the crabbiest women ever. And I'm a fairly cheerful person, but if they're gonna be like that, I can't guarantee they won't drag me down with them. Though, that's the good thing about interviews... if you get the job, you don't have to take the job. I can just look around and see who I'd be working with.

Things to bring to the house tomorrow:

- Newest Doctor Who books, which will get to work at... some point tomorrow. Hopefully tomorrow morning, as I'm this close to leaving early... but I need my books. Neeeeeeed. Will be a little weird switching from Ten's hyperactivity to Nine again. ^^;
- Nintendo DS. 'Nuff said.
- DW DVDs for Dad.
- The USB cord for the MP3 player, so I can actually CHARGE the damn thing this weekend.
- The external hard drive? This week or next week? Maybe this week. Maybe copy the episodes to it, bring it up there, keep the original files on this desktop. Dad gets a surefire way to play the files. On my laptop, but he'll take it and like it. ^^;

And speaking of hard drives, I think I'm going to get a bigger one. The one I have in my computer now is an 80 gig. That's not doing it. Between the My Videos and My Music folders, I've got half the drive's space covered--2/3s the capacity of the drive (since some of that memory's unusable from the start... about... 13 gigs?). The whole reason the Dell crashed a couple years ago was me downloading anime episodes and not paying attention to how much space I had left. Now I'm diligent about making sure I have the memory for what I'm downloading, but eventually I'm gonna run out.

And Dad has 200 gigs on his computer up there. I saw that and flipped. Imagine what I could do with that kind of space.

(I told him I'd use my powers for good, not evil.)

If I had enough room in the tower, I'd have two drives, one strictly for videos... but I only have one expansion bay in here, and another DVD-Writer's going in there. Soon as I bug Dad about it. I forgot to mention it to him when he and the kids were here.

I like to ramble, don't I? ^_^; CJ, feeling talkative? Uh-oh.
