Okay, look.
Feb. 22nd, 2007 03:14 pmA certain coworker of mine needs to get over herself. Honestly. If she needs these folders so badly, she NEEDS to go buy them. I ordered them more than a week ago. If the home office's mailroom is too slow to get things done, how is that my fault? We need them tomorrow? No?
So now I have to place a separate order with Staples to appease the goddess and HOPE they get here by tomorrow. Staples is fast. We're about to see how fast.
I bet she hasn't even printed the materials out yet. I bet she's waiting until we get the folders to even BEGIN getting the materials together. Those people do not need folders. They're more than capable of getting their own folders. All they need is a packet of materials.
There's a possibility the package is actually here, has actually been here for more than a few days, and I haven't known it because Valdi hasn't been in all week. If so, fine. If not, and there's no conceivable way Staples would get folders to me by tomorrow, then I will not bust my hump for that woman when she could have told me yesterday, or Tuesday, that she needed the folders by Friday. It's that simple. She will not aggravate me. I e-mailed our purchasing liaison, and if she says there's no way, there's no way, and Thing will just have to eat it.
And THIS is why. Egads. I need my talent back, tenfold, so I can do something with that instead of messing around with pointless dead-ends.
