OH GOD, THEY DIDN'T.
Jul. 6th, 2007 05:39 pmFUNimation licensed the second Negima series. The one with the !? at the end. The one that's actually somewhat good. Damnit. They'd better do something with the voices. I won't buy the original series dubbed because it sounds horrible. I know you're supposed to support the series and all, but I can't buy that. Case Closed, I can buy. Voice acting is great for the regulars. Leaves something to be desired in minor characters, but most of them spend half the episode dead anyway. Tsubasa Chronicle, I haven't bought yet, but I may in the future. I haven't seen more than a few clips dubbed, but they don't sound bad. (And they didn't screw up Fay's voice. HUGE plus.)
But, they need to do something with Negi. Negi is 10. 10. He should not sound like a grown woman with a cold. (I won't get started with the accent, it made me cringe.) And maybe they should hire some more voice actors to do the girls. Having only six actresses to voice 31 girls is kinda silly.
Gah, the series isn't even DONE yet! Not in subtitles, anyway... They were only up to 16, and the story's not done yet... ;_; Damnit, FUNi, stop ruining my fun. And get back to the later episodes of Case Closed, already. It's good to finally have the earlier ones on DVD (took you long enough), but I want new episodes translated, and you'll give them to me because I said so. And don't forget those movies, either. >_<
I'm going to go nibble on some zeppoles. There was another street fair down by my job, and Mom and I couldn't resist. I need sugary goodness.
Series Three of Doctor Who starts on SciFi tonight. I'm probably going to miss it while Mom and I are on our way to PA. I'll bet they're going to cut to commercial at the dumbest places... ^_^;
