If I'm looking up a phone number for you, don't hang up before I give it to you. 9_9 Oy. Don't call me back, either.

Yesterday my sinuses were acting up, and today it's my stomach. ^^; I have no idea where this is coming from. It needs to stop, though. It's calmed down a bit, but still feels a bit off.

I'm going to try to draw today. I tried yesterday and got fed up. I shouldn't force it, I know, but I feel useless at this point. I left the sketchbook home, but I did bring a few sheets of blank paper with me. Boss is here, so there probably won't be any attempts until I get home tonight (I really don't want him to see me drawing... I don't think he cares, but I don't want/need the attention).

Oh wait, he's at a meeting until 10:30. (Not that he told me.) I'll try a little bit.

The city did not lay down any salt on the streets near my place. They do this every year. They don't do the streets OR the sidewalks at the park. I slipped a few times walking to the train station and called Mom once I was on the train to warn her. Bet anything the other side of Williamsburg is spotless. 9_9 At least I don't have to walk past the park anymore. It gets treacherous out there. It's almost safer to walk in the street.

I'm not big on winter. ^^; I like my snow gone the day it falls.

Ha. XD

Mom called a while ago. There have been accidents all over Boerum Street. Let's see how quickly Sanitation gets down there and salts the street NOW. A cop at least blocked it off. I know this wasn't the storm of the century or anything, but come on. Condensation and below-freezing temperatures? You're serously not going to put some salt down?

Anyway. Today's been a complete waste, so far. Just one of those days, methinks... the ones where nothing worthwhile actually gets done. There have been far too many of them lately.

I think, when I get home, I'll break the Geometry Wars spell that's on me and pop Super Mario Galaxy in for the first time in over a week. ^^; Though, I don't know, maybe I should just wait to play until tomorrow. The PA Wii is farther along. Craig's got MP3, though. And if he hasn't been playing this week, he'll have to catch himself up to where he got on the NYC Wii last weekend. Hmm.

... I'm getting hungry. Time for nibbles. And stomach's feeling better, so I can actually walk with some speed now. XD;

Um...

Got asked about the window cleaning schedule here. I've been at this job for about 13 months now, and the windows have never been cleaned.

We're planning a holiday gathering, like we did last year (to dirty windows, mind you--no one said anything). Now, all of a sudden, the Communal Living Committee (AKA, Dona and Alyce) want the windows cleaned. I asked the guy in Albany if he could find out what the schedule is, he asked whoever needed to be asked (he has to be the one to contact them about building issues), and the person told him the cleaning is done in the spring and fall, and although the windows are dirty, she doesn't know if they'll be able to get someone to come in because of the cold weather. I imagine the cleaning schedule is on an "as you ask for it" basis. No complaints, no service, or something like that. I told Dona and Alyce (and Kwesi). Kwesi has yet to bug me about it. Dona, on the other hand, sent me a reply saying this:

Christina,

I agree that it is cold, but it is also still Fall (until December 21st). They have not cleaned these windows. Might we suggest that they should look at the five day forecast and get someone in.

Ha. I looked at the five-day forecast. TEN-day, on weather.com. There is no way I'd be outside cleaning windows in 30-40-degree temperatures. From her reply I thought the temperature would be moving back into the upper 40s and 50s, but it's basically going to stay exactly the same between now and next week, when you factor in our proximity to the water and the wind chill. They had all year to complain about it, and they wait 'til the last minute?

Still debating whether or not to ask John if I should bother putting in a work request. Honestly, I don't know what type of weather window cleaners are used to or willing to working in, but... no.

And I just got asked about something that took place two weeks ago, and I can't even begin to remember exactly what happened that caused this thing to fall through the cracks. Meh.

EDIT: Good lord, I'm going to punch my boss in the face. GRAH.

AWWWW~!!

I MISS MY CAT.

I don't think Smokey ever played with her tail like this (and if she did, I was too young to know it), but eeee. This person uploaded a bunch of videos of this cat. Cutest thing ever. I love its ears. I want another cat. ;_;

Unrelated... I need to learn how to stop being so sensitive, because I will never get anywhere if I'm going to have my day ruined pretty much five days a week. 9_9

... Seriously, CAT.

I've been wasting the evening looking at Scottish Fold kitties. I'm getting off of YouTube now. ^^; I want one, can I have one?
