And some of the next check will be going toward art supplies. Good news is I may have pencils already... I'm just not sure if they're extra-smooth as the list calls for. If not, I'll have to buy some. I might stay home this weekend just because I am so broke. My poor checking account is below $100 now, and the other two accounts don't amount to much, so no spending for me. Glad I pulled out a hundred last week when I got paid. I still have a little bit of spending money. But, laptop payments are done, so that's an extra $92 in my pocket.

I didn't even go to the open house yesterday. I was home all day because, once again, I got no sleep (and last night wasn't much better), and it actually ended up working out, because Mom had one of her friends from work over to fix the sofa, and he had to get his 11-year-old son from school, so I entertained him and kept him out of their way. (The kid has ADD and the attention span of a gnat, so Mom was really glad I was there.) By the time they left, it was 6pm, and the open house was at 6:30, so I just got online and registered. $340. -_- Would've been $25 cheaper had I gone to the open house, but I don't like showing up late, and I was still in my pajamas because I'd been sleeping all day. Still cheaper than other places, though. My Wednesdays will be completely full for about two months starting on the 6th. There are some stores in the city that might give me a discount if I show them my registration receipt, and one of them is a store I've been meaning to visit for a while now, so I might take a ride down there next week.

Beth, I'll talk to you later, okay? No more Gmail access here.

... and is it wrong that I want to go home already? I thnk I have job ADD. XD;

Um, wow.

Okay, so there was an instance of a biweekly meeting we're scheduled for (that we never have anymore, not that I'm complaining) where I had to move the meeting to the 24th floor. I'd sent out an updated meeting notice saying the meetings were back to a biweekly schedule, and the next meeting was on 4/20/07, and that meeting would take place in 2449. Because it's a recurring meeting, that note shows up on all notices after the first one.

The new receptionist, Leekeesha, just called about it. "You have a meeting here, [name of meeting], and it says 'This meeting is returning to a biweekly schedule. The next meeting will be 4/20/07. Please note: This meeting will take place in room 2449.' It's scheduled for January 25th, but it says 4/20/07. Is that a mistake?"

Oy. Recurring meeting. -_- I tried to tell her twice that 4/20/07 is when the meetings started and the date doesn't matter anymore. She insisted on making a big deal out of it.

Me + work = no. Too many people with lack of sense.

Seriously, some of this stuff has me clapping a hand to my mouth and struggling not to laugh out loud. I came looking for cliches and haven't left yet. It has everything. (And there was this one bit on the Yes/No questions in Ace Combat 5 that was hilarious.)
