Mar. 16th, 2008 11:13 amSo I splurged while I still had over $300 in the account and bought the NiGHTS into Dreams Perfect Album. Three CDs (I originally thought it was two) with the entire soundtrack from the original game and Christmas NiGHTS. Noticed the track for Soft Museum has "Complete Ver." next to it and popped in the second disc without even listening to the first. The CDs have all the variations of the music that play depending on the Nightopians' mood. This makes me very, very happy. I used to hook the Saturn's audio plugs up to my stereo and sit there recording mixes of each song. (And I still have the tape I put them on.) Can't mix and match these, unfortunately, but having them on here's good. The track's gonna be over eight minutes by the time it's done with the last part.
Learned Matt will be over at our place for a week starting June 6th. Should be fun.
Mom asked me about the whole part-time thing I mentioned. I texted her about it yesterday. Told her what I was thinking of doing and why I want to take on a part-time job instead, and of course she goes into what her friend Elvira did, which was go to school two days out of the week.
Elvira has a job that starts at six in the morning and ends somewhere around 2, 2:30pm, so she still had time LEFT for classes. Oh, and Elvira likes her job. Pretty sure Elvira's intelligent enough to get out of a job she hates, and she's been where she is for twenty years. And knowing exactly what you need to get your degree in helps a lot.
Have decided I'm not saying much to Mom today. She's pissing me off. I find a solution that'll keep me in state service and give me some flexibility, and she's STILL trying to push me the way she thinks I should go. I should ask her why SHE doesn't go back if she thinks it's so easy. At least I'm trying.
