The pet bug is biting again.
Sep. 24th, 2008 03:30 pmNot surprising after I opened up People magazine to read a story about puppy mills in Amish Country. (I don't know if I can look at Lancaster County the same way anymore. One guy used the Bible as an excuse, which disgusts me.)
There's a group called Mighty Mutts that has their dogs out in Union Square every Saturday (weather-permitting, of course), and a place they keep all their cats. They're even open after 5pm. I put in a request for information on volunteering, and I may hop down there tomorrow evening. There are a few cats and one dog that I fell in love with.
I told Mom I was looking at cats and dogs, and she said "Live animals? Why?" She's still not really open to having another pet, which is why the volunteering. It's the only way I'm going to get to be around animals. ^^;
Have spent all day looking at pets. This is why not having the boss around is a good thing.
