The boss is in, so my morning so far is filled with tension. That's a given, though. Anytime he comes in, the right side of my neck starts hurting. One reason why I'm trying to get out of here.
Someone upstairs is having issues with her computer, and John started working on it yesterday. She told the boss, and the boss goes, "Christina! Hi." (I hate that he says "hi" all the time. Once will suffice.) "Can you call John and tell him we have a situation?"
No word as to what the situation is. Fine. Dona goes, "What the hell is 'a situation'?" I shrug and say, "I don't know, but I find it stupid that he's having me call John when John is probably already on his way here. It's not even 10 o'clock yet. Give him time to get here." And the boss has gone upstairs to check on the problem, like he's going to be able to do anything. I left a message for John. If John doesn't come in, I'm going to have to hear the boss's mouth about he and Steve not calling me when they're not coming in. John and Steve don't report to the boss, though, they report to another guy in Albany, so technically they don't have to call here. But whatever, it's not my problem. Lynne should have told John that she needed the computer fixed by this morning so she could do whatever assignment she's supposed to be doing.
EDIT: And THEN he starts to sound all pissy when I tell him I had to leave John a message and Steve didn't call. 9_9; I'm not the boss here. He needs to get out of that office and do his job. HE'S the NYC IT director.
