... and the boss just came over and completely ruined what good my mood had. Bravo, sir, bravo. At this point, expect my resignation this summer.

The boss had a 1 o'clock meeting with Earl, and Earl was out in the field all morning. He just got back. The boss was just about to go out and saw that Earl was in, and proceeded to nag the absolute HELL out of him for not showing up on time. (Mind you, this is the same man who is late to absolutely every meeting but his own.) Earl apologized at least five times, and the boss wouldn't let it go. L-O-S-E-R.

Still working on the hat. A bit confused how it's going to go now, because we sent Rani off to get a hat and had told her "baseball cap", and she came back with these cheap pirate hat things, so I have to work around that. The point of the baseball cap was it was going to be blue and save me a lot of trouble, since I'm the one making this thing.

... I just got hit on by the AC mechanic. XD

Stuff!

I bought ASPCA stuff, hee. I believe it was cheaper at the event than it would've been through the online store. Also, really wish I'd brought my camera. There were these two hound mix puppies there for adoption, and they were SO FREAKING ADORABLE. I swear, if I hit the lottery/didn't have to work anymore and could devote my time and money to a puppy...

Kind of glad I didn't bring Oliver, because I have no idea how he'd have reacted to all those dogs... especially the massive golden retriever I saw. Seriously, you could stick a saddle on that thing and a toddler could ride it like a horse. I think its poor owner was sick and tired of answering the question of what breed of dog it was. XD;; And there was this adorable toy poodle that kept trying to get his owner to pick him up. How did he do it? By hopping up on his hind legs and pawing at her with his front legs. It was exactly like watching a child. ^___^

At the same time, I wish I HAD brought Oliver because they had a photographer, a caricaturist, and a woman airbrushing images of people's pets onto tote bags. I saw one of the airbrushed bags and was completely envious. Haha, I wonder what she and the caricaturist would've done about his underbite?

Optimus Prime hat: I made half-assed (considering my supplies at work) antennae before we just decided to cut out the picture of the helmet I'd printed for reference and stick it to the hat (which we'd flipped inside-out because the pirate thing was a little silly XD), because I kept getting interrupted and our originaly plans got a little sidetracked because of lack of blue baseball cap. Dona said for Rani to put the antennae on behind the "mask" anyway, but I don't know if Rani's going to do that. She has absolutely no idea which way the things are supposed to go on, either, haha. She said she'd show us pictures. It wouldn't have been so bad if it weren't a one-day's notice thing... although maybe it would have been. Robots are annoying like that.

Paper trimmer FTW! :D I swear, it makes things so much easier. (Although I wasn't paying attention to one cut and ended up cutting it the wrong way length-wise, but whatever.) And I got a scoring blade, too, so no more having to try and fold paper/cardstock evenly.

I saw a necklace I might get Mom for Mother's Day: amethyst flower. Have to ask Dad what he thinks. Amethyst is her birthstone, though, and I know she likes it.

Anyway, I need sleep. I'm absolutely exhausted.
