Drawing and chocolate cake
Nov. 14th, 2009 04:44 amSo I got bored on the train ride up here to PA and started sketching the guy sleeping across the aisle from me, and was doing so well even though he shifted position once, until we got to the point where the next stop was Middletown, and this huge woman blocked me while standing in the aisle. XD;; I only managed to get the guy's head and arms done. Was going for a full-body pic, dangit. She totally screwed me up. I didn't dare ask her to move, because she looked like she had attitude issues, and I didn't want to tip the guy off that I was drawing him, because some people get weird about that sort of thing. He may have ended up seeing the sketch anyway when he came out from under his cap after all the Middletowners got off the train. But yeah, not bad for a quickie sketch. :D Also drew the interior of the train, specifically the vestibule into the next half of the car and everything past it, but I had to rush it since the last stop was coming up. I don't know if I can scan at this point, since Lexmark sucks.
My chocolate craving is gone for now. There were brownies at the bake sale, but I did not walk out of there with a brownie. No, I walked out with a rather large slice of this four-layer completely chocolate cake. I actually had to go downstairs to the cafe and buy a cup of milk from them. It was SO good. It was offset by a sushi lunch that I bought purposely before I even laid eyes on the cake, haha. Everyone I walked by with the cake was like, "OMG, WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?", and I said, "I bought sushi for lunch," and they said, "Oh, well, that's okay, then." XDDD I couldn't even finish the slice, it was so huge. I think that cake was the same one Mom and I saw in BJs last weekend, when we were picking up desserts for Aunt Flora's funeral repass. I am going to tell Mom that if she ever wants to bring that cake home, she does not have to worry about offending me. Just make sure we have plenty of milk. ^^;;
Next Doctor Who episode tomorrow (Sunday)! ^____^ It's been so weird not having a normal season.
EDIT: WTF?! My package got to work yesterday?! All the freaking rechecking of the tracking info I did said the thing was still in transit from Edison, damnit! Seriously, a big ol' F U, FedEx...
