meitantei_cj: (APH - America - FUCK YEAH)
Almost an hour of searching through magazines with Mom later, I found a page in People magazine (an impulse buy at Duane Reade one day at work--what can I say? The front cover did its job...) of Shaun White executing one of his tricks. And they showed it in progression, which is exactly what I needed.

So hell yes. I can sleep easy tonight and skip the last-minute desperate trip to Borders for yet another magazine I won't actually read. (Seriously, do you have any idea how expensive that gets when the magazines you buy to cut pictures out of them are published in ENGLAND? ^^;;)

I shall get home early tomorrow, which will be beautiful. All I have to do is stay around long enough for my portfolio review, and that won't take more than ten minutes. Will be back to cleaning when I get home. Mom suggested I put my books up on eBay and try to get some money for them, but I'm not sure about that. I know I've spent good money on them, and getting money back would be nice, but how would that even work? And I kind of just want them gone already. I have too much stuff. I just want to pack it up in boxes and take it away.

After pretty much a week of eating (and I mean eating) chopped-up hamburger and rice mixed with his kibble, Oliver got half a packet of actual dog food and ate only half of it (hardly touched the kibble) and his stomach went wonky. He later got chopped-up chicken breast and rice over kibble. He's fine now. XD;; He's funny. All he needs is some rice on his food and he'll gladly eat the kibble. He doesn't really need a meat. But he's like that with sauces, too, or anything moist put in his food. Sometimes as long as he thinks I put something in there (because I stand over his bowl and tilt my plate or something), he'll eat everything. He's funny like that. I'm thinking about continuing to make him food rather than rely on dog food. He got tired of the Pedigree packets, which is why I made the burger for him in the first place, and he enjoyed that so much I just kept it up for the week. He always cleaned his bowl, except when Mom put too much kibble in one time.

Taxes done, yay. Refund in a little less than two weeks. My bank account will be so happy. Every last bit of it is going to savings, and unless something blows up, I will not touch it. There is every possibility of things blowing up, though, what with Mom not bringing home any money right now.
