So apparently my boss is three.
I put in a leave request for tomorrow and two days in September. That was at around 12:30. Between that time and 4pm (the time I left), he approved three of Sharone's requests and didn't even bother with mine. Didn't approve it, didn't reject it, just ignored it. Was this retaliation for my not telling him that Earl was working from home for part of today? Probably. I put down on the board that Earl would be at Coalition today, but forgot to put the PM next to it.
And probably somewhere around fifteen minutes or half an hour before 4pm, he left the office. When I left, I found him standing around outside. I should have gone over to him, but I went out my usual door and left. He probably went back upstairs right after he saw me leave.
So I'm gonna go to work tomorrow. And if the powers that be bless me with a Sweet Million jackpot (I never play the game, but did today), I'll go in and give him what for. Is that million before taxes enough for life? Hell no. It's enough for now, though. More than enough for me to do what I need to do. Of course, like Joe said, I'll never win because I'll show my ass if I do.
Honestly, I would not be nearly as pissed off as I am if he had rejected the request, because you know what, I did screw up this morning, even if it was a fairly small screw-up. We're all adults here, or so I thought. It's the fact that he was obviously in his e-mail and approving other requests (because he CCs me on approvals) that's pissing me off. It also makes me feel like he was too chickenshit to actually reject something (running away when it was time for me to go), in which case he needs to grow a pair. He's like 60.
One more year of school, if all goes right. One more year, and I get to go away.
