From Prof. Alexander:
Feb. 22nd, 2011 07:42 pmDear CJ,
It's been a genuine pleasure working with you this semester. You've shown some great work, and I've been impressed with your ability to quickly take in new styles and adapt to them--and (perhaps even more challenging) to recognize when you haven't adapted quite as well, as in the Flarf piece. You seem to view writing as an adventure, a space of discovery, and I appreciate your willingness to try out new things in that spirit. In addition, you obviously work hard at your writing--you're not just a dreamer! Your sense of adventure and willingness to work hard suggested that you could go on to produce some accomplished writing in the future, if you decide to do so.
For these reasons, I really hope you'll look into the Creative Writing Club next semester. I'd love to see more of your work and have the chance to talk more about writing with you.
:D
