Jun. 7th, 2011 12:42 amAlso, TOO MUCH FUCKING WORK TO DO.
Site-specific piece may not get done by tomorrow. I not only have to put it up and take pictures, but I also have to write something about it and I'm supposed to have sketches of it, prototype and what it'd look like in the space I picked. My piece is a half-assed one. I'm not at all confident about it, because I pretty much slapped it together for the sake of having something to present. Ryan did that already for his artist's book, but his worked. This just looks stupid.
All my attention's going to Graphic Narrative, because I need to draw two full pages and finish two others, PLUS I have to finish drawing and color my piece for art history. I really hate to show up tomorrow without my piece, but I'm really thinking about doing so and talking to Bruce about it. Seriously. I worked my fingers to the bone to get the artist's book done. I could have something nice for this project, but I need more time. Between my other two classes, I'm completely swamped. Hopefully he'll understand. I've been in every class, I've participated, and I've written good essays. I'll just bring the pieces of what I would have put up and show it to him. I know where I'd put it up, so it's not like I haven't thought of it. I even went there today before class to check the wall color.
In other news, the cover for the comic actually looks pretty good. I like the left side much more than the right, but that's because I can't draw cities and the gray is SO boring-looking. The back cover looks kind of out of place now, but eff it. I'm totally done after this, damnit. I'm enjoying my summer vacation. ^^;;
Oh, we got our class chapbooks today in Fiction Writing Workshop. I guess in a way, you could say I'm published. XD Prof. Tanenbaum gave me some reading recommendations and said she thinks the combination of writing and art would serve me well.
All right, bed. Headache from stressing out, I think. I'll talk to Bruce. If I can't get an extension, maybe there's something else I can do.
