Remember this?
Well, turns out Mercy DID erase my name (everything I wrote on the back actually, including the date and the type of design) and write her own on the back. So not only is she a thief, she's a damn moron if she really thought Prof. Mayer wouldn't realize that she'd seen that design before, especially after thinking enough of it to put it up on the board outside the classroom. When I see Stephanie on Monday, I'll have to tell her. She was sure she saw Mercy erase everything and I wasn't really sure.
So yeah, Mercy Barnes? DUMBASS. :D
Fixing my last design, which won't be too hard--I just have to make the grays consistent, and Prof. Mayer said that kind of thing takes years to perfect, so it's no big deal. Have to find one last image to cut out. Final is Monday. Hoping to death for another A.
She and I also talked more about what I want to do after LaGuardia, and she said SVA will likely be visiting for portfolio reviews in the spring semester and I should bring my stuff again for them. (I'll be in Illustration with her, so she'll remind me.) I told her about my job and how it's not really a bad job, but not for me, much I want out, and that I want to do something that's different and not so boring and routine and aggravating. (Seriously, the boss made me want to punch a baby today. Albany would send an e-mail, I'd get to work relaying the message to ACS, and the boss would come out of his office to tell me what I was already working on. "Christina, that message needs to go to Don and Alex" while I'm busy typing the message. He did that four or five times today. He's starting to slip back into that ARGH territory. I am not looking forward to having to be at work all day after Monday, or even tomorrow.) I have a feeling she and I will talk more about it. I did tell her that SAIC is sending me materials and she said that's a good thing.

Date: 2010-02-19 12:33 am (UTC)So yeah. I wish her luck riding on everyone else's coattails. XD; And I've learned a valuable lesson: ALWAYS sign the back in pen.
Thank you! I'm still worried about when I'm NOT taking art courses, haha. Psychology was a special case. What about when I take history and science?

Date: 2010-02-19 01:20 am (UTC)You'll do great in history and science! History is fun, especially with a good teacher, especially when you go back to the beginnings of recorded history. I think you'll have fun with biological sciences because they explain a lot about the human experience. I definitely recommend taking a human biology course
