SO. I've decided I'm going to try out a minor in Digital Media or create an individualized POE (major) to work some digital media classes, like video and audio production, into my major. Spoke with Prof. Weimer, the chair of the communications department, and she's allowing me into Mass Media and Society and said I should take Digital Video Production next semester as well, because it's offered every other spring, so there's a chance I might never see it again. This means Intro to Logic is definitely out, but that  was more of a filler class anyway. I'm now between dropping Bookmaking and dropping the Germany trip. I'm leaning toward keeping the trip, since I'm not sure I'll be able to study abroad while I'm here, and that would be a good experience for me. Bookmaking is offered every semester, I believe... but either way, I'm sure I'll be able to take it again.

Also, Mass Media is a 9am class. It takes place on the days I was supposed to be able to sleep in until class at 1pm if I wanted to. I'm not happy about that at all, but I need it.

I'm not committing yet; Prof. Weimer suggested that I take a class or two and see what my committment level is before I fully jump in. Anyway, next semester, I'll be taking 18 credits. At 3 each: Mass Media, DVP, Digital Art, Ceramic Sculpture, Intro to Art Therapy, and the 1-credit course that leads to the 2-credit Germany trip. I have a feeling something is going to get dropped from that schedule. The amount of work I'm gonna have is going to be RIDICULOUS. Mass Media and Art Therapy are likely classes with papers involved, Digital Art and Ceramic Sculpture will require artistic turnout, the Germany thing requires a presentation (10-15 minutes, I think?) that has to be delivered to our peers... and DVP. I have no idea.

I'm not sure how this is all going to go down, though. The trip might not even happen; if they can't get enough people to sign up for it, it'll be postponed, and that will free up three credits, so I can either keep that time to myself or keep Bookmaking.

We'll see what happens. I'm doing this because I found that I really liked editing the film for religion class. I don't know if one could call that fun, but I had fun doing it. I think I'd have been a better editor than director. With Chelsea's portion of the blooper reel, if we'd had enough time, I'd have told her she should've split up the blooper with the bat in the attic into multiple parts. It went on way too long to be one clip. I did that with one of Janice's bloopers, broke it into two and had the two parts separated by one or two other clips. If it's too long, there's too much dead time. While we were watching the bat clip, it started to feel old. It was like, "All right, we've seen this, next..." She should've either split it into pieces or cut it short.

ANYWAY. Yeah. Fun times ahead.

In other news, my last computer science test? I got a 96 on it. :D I did FAR better than I thought. I didn't think I'd gotten less than an 80-something, but I was NOT expecting a 96. I effed up writing the super method in a subclass and the superclass's toString in a subclass, I thought I'd messed up one of the two programs with arrays and loops (a minor screw-up, really), and I had problems with a couple of the short answer questions. Apparently these were minor problems. XD

The series of character portraits has pretty much taken over my drawings. I found some (really) old characters in my gallery and I'm now drawing them. Two done so far, Samantha and Claire. They look great. ^^ I just have to do the boys now, and one of them I've never drawn before, so it'll keep me busy while I'm on the train. I've drawn nine portraits in total so far.

Can't wait to get home! It'll be nice to just sit around for a month without anything due.
