Apparently, this whole cicada thing is really bugging me. (... I didn't do that on purpose.)

Mom and I were back in the old apartment across the street, entertaining guests, I think. At least one person I didn't know was there. She'd brought a dish over topped with fried cicadas. I looked at the plate just to see what they looked like. o_o Had my usual "Eww! XDDDD *run*" spaz...

At one point, Mom told me to go in the kitchen and wash the dishes, so I did. And while I'm washing, I notice that, on the window near the sink, there's a cicada and a frog. Seeing either in the city at all was a little off. I just watched the bug from the corner of my eye (as I tend to do when I notice a bug near me), until I saw the thing touch... noses?... with the frog. Thought that was weird.

And then the frog started "kissing" back.

And my brain's going, "Error! Error! Does not compute!"

... And then I woke up. O_O;;;

Err, yeah. Dun like bugs.

Cicadas.. I heard they're fucking up the east side of the US this time. I'm glad. They were here a few years back, as my damn infamous story comes up every time they're mentioned- hundreds.. iie, thousands of them sprawled out in a huge shopping mall parking lot.

So you can get a better picture of what I mean, the shopping mall (not a mall, just had the places connected) - consisted of a Best Buy, Borders bookstore (complete with a coffee shop inside), PetCo, Office Depot, some shoe warehouse, men's clothing store, Old Navy, a hobby supply store, and probably a few other places I'm forgetting. It's "the best in the west shopping center." It probably isn't the best, but it's got a big fucking parking lot.

And the entire thing was littered with cicadas. Sure, there were a few bald spots where you could see patches of the blacktop. A few.
It was like a living floor of the damn things. And when you drove your car through the parking lot, you'd hear them crunch underneath the wheels -in mass-, and some would fly by your car (you'd have to close your window for that reason). And if you turned your car around and looked, there was no big line of smushed cicadas, or a path made of no bugs.

It would be as full of the chirping things as it had been before you drove through.

I will never forget that crap. Because I had a phobia, and still do, of all insects/spiders etc. And my father made me sit, a kid in elementary school, and drive through that crap.. each morning.. before school.

Big surprise I ended up with anxiety disorders.

Ewwwww. ><;; I'm not sure of what a cicada is, (I probably have seen one, I just can't remember;) but they sound so gross! X.X

Heheh...one weird dream, that was.

Though, don't feel bad...I dreamt that my ex boyfriend's girlfriend fell off the balcony. O.o So, yeah. Weird.
