Not going to the house this weekend, or the following two weekends. Mom assumed I didn't have the money to pay for gas there and back. I did, but maybe it's best we stay here. The next two weekends... Craig has to come here next weekend for the civil service test Mom and I signed him up for (just in case he does come down here and needs to get a job). The week after that, both he and Dad need to come back for another dentist visit. Seriously, three weeks. Whenever they do come down, they're totally bringing my laptop, because my Compaq finally died, and Dad's going to try and put my files onto the Gateway.

... I need a nap. XD;; I was working on my ePortfolio (a kind of webpage for LaGuardia students for showcasing their work, resume, etc., for schools and employers), which I've decided to do with the intermediate templates, not the tired basic templates. Seriously, the basic ones are exactly that. There's nothing fun about them at all. Downloaded Netscape Composer, forgetting that I have the entire Adobe Master Collection and therefore Dreamweaver. (Speaking of Netscape, I had no idea it was dead!) I think I might start the pages in Composer and do the rest of the editing in Dreamweaver... but I think I just need to get used to DW. It's a little weird after switching from Composer. But anyway, I'll do Illustration homework and stuff later. I'm too tired to focus on that right now. I need to get in my bed and put on something mindless and doze.

Mom went shopping and bought steak and crab legs. :D I love my mommy. Well, I paid for it, but she saw it and went to Pathmark, so still.

Oh, easel (did I say I got the easel?) is being sent back and replaced! There was a piece broken off when I opened it, and while I assembled it (the majority of it's pre-assembled), I couldn't get that broken piece off. I e-mailed Blick saying I needed a replacement, and I meant a replacement knob, but they're sending me a whole new easel, which is fine by me. And I get a prepaid mailing label to send them the broken one. And of course I don't get billed for the new one. So, will have to do without the yay!easel for a bit longer, but hopefully the next one will be completely intact. I wouldn't have cared if I could've removed the broken knob, but it's on there. Really. It's probably just as well that they're sending a new easel.

Also: It's hot today. In the 80s. The flies have decided to come cool off in our living room. Oliver came to get me (like, walked right up under my legs while I was sitting here at my desk and looked up at me), and led me out to the hallway, but would not go into the living room. I think he was a little spooked by all the visitors, haha. One fly, he'd be trying to eat it if it flew close enough to his face. 10-15 flies? He comes to get me, like, "All right, do something about this. It's freaking me out." XD We have fly paper hanging from the ceiling, but so far they've been flying too low to hit it. Hoping it either drops down lower, or they start flying higher. The Wii's up there and I can't play it with them flying around annoying me. (At least they're not the noisy kind.) Played a bit of Punch-Out!! this morning. I like, but I've gotta get used to it. Wii Sports boxing, it is not.

Right, sleep!

-_-;; Anyway. Tomorrow's Friday. I'm hoping the boss will keep his dumb self home and the stupid meeting for the CBVH/IT gathering will fly by. (Also, I pilfered supplies from work, haha. Just six padded envelopes for Swaptree purposes. No one's gonna use 'em. Hell, they probably don't even know I ORDERED padded envelopes.)

I'm getting my bed this weekend! Have to call the futon place first to make sure they haven't sold it. XD;; If they have, I won't blame them at all, because it's been forever... and I'd asked them if I could send them checks to pay it off, and they said sure, and I haven't sent any checks. Money, like I told them before, has been a little silly. I'd already determined that the bed would be bought with either this check or the next one, though, so it'll be this one. Tony and Gladys are coming up next weekend, anyway, so I should get this out of the way.

Had my first quiz in psychology today. A bunch of people said they didn't know we were having one. He totally said it. He may have said it quickly, in passing or something, because I scribbled it in on the top of the page I was currently writing on, but he did say it. It was only two questions, but if you didn't do the reading, you'd have no idea what to write. Our first big assignment (well, 4-5 pages) is due a week from Tuesday, so I'll get started on that in a few days. Need to read Chapter 2 first.

Anyway, then I get home, go back out with McFluff the Crime Dog Oliver (seriously, every person he saw across the street or jogging warranted growling. EVERY ONE. I had to practically drag him down the street at one point! He's so suspicious... XD), come back here... and see this Hetalia-Kanye West meme. And I seriously started crying, I was laughing so hard at the meme and the comments. XD See, this is why the stupid filter at work needs to stop blocking LiveJournal. If I had access to the fandom at work, it wouldn't be so bad.

... I want cookies. I think I'll go bake some.

EDIT: Oreos instead.

Also, OMG XDDDD Awesome fandom is awesome.

EDIT again: I'm gonna stop now, honest. XDDD

Rrrgh.

Okay, so Ashworth refunded me my money, which I noticed when I went to pull more money out of my account after getting my hair done yesterday. I have just under $400 in my account, but Swaptree's payment should come out sometime between tomorrow and Sunday (just because the last payment is on my bank statement as going out on the 9th of the month instead of the 7th). Mom said, "Oh, so then you can get your bed. You just have to be... frugal." (This is obviously with her forgetting that every trip to the house costs me up to $30, if I take the bus. If she happens to wait for me so I don't need to take the train or bus, I usually end up paying for gas, which is just as bad as the bus if not worse.)

At first, I thought about doing that, but I'm going to hold off for another couple weeks. I will give them $200, though, if we go down there, and then give them the rest in another couple of weeks. I can give them the full $400, but it'll mean dipping into the savings account, which I am not supposed to do. I've already done it more than enough, and my savings account's been more or less static because of it for months. Also, if I hold off, I can stick a little money onto the credit card. The $180 from Ashworth was supposed to go there, and would have had I not gotten my hair done and then pulled $100 out today. (Yesterday I'd pulled $100 out of my account just for spending money, then Mom said I should get my hair done, and while she gave me back half the money, I wasn't supposed to lose $40 in one day.) I'll probably still put $100 toward the card. I'm determined to pay it down/off. If plans were worth anything, it'd be paid off by now. The plan was to get it and Ashworth (which, duh, I should have canceled long ago) out of the way before I started school. And then I bought the Cricut. Then I decided I wanted a new bed at the house, because the one I had, I'd had since we GOT the house, and there were a few issues with it. Then the tuition issue.

I swear, the way money's been with me lately, I'm glad Dona and Maureen finally talked me into the deferred compensation plan. Almost $3,000 in there.

Craig said he likes the way my "bed" is now. Right now it's two mattresses--the one from my bed and the one from the trundle--stacked. I'm low to the floor, so I can literally roll out of bed, and if Oliver wants to hop into bed with me, or out of it, he can with no trouble. I've gotten used to it, and I like the fact that the dog can jump up into it, and I can reach him better when he's laying next to my bed, but I already put the money down... and they can give it back to me, but, you know, I said I was gonna buy it and they ordered it for me. I don't want to go back on that. And I really do like the bed.

In other news: Need socks. ._.

Friday tomorrow! House, please. Weekend. Now.

I've been getting smacked around by urges to write and draw, and have been completely blocked. Do not like.

I've got Craig saying Nightmare Fuel now. XDDD
