Trying out a program called MP3Sheild that's supposed to detect MP3 file corruption. You know, "screechy MP3 syndrome". Thing is, I just downloaded Toxic by Britney Spears (because you guys KNOW I'm not buying one of her CDs, but the beat of that song is just too infectious), but I didn't even get a chance to try to detect any wrongdoing. The very first file I downloaded was a clean one. No cutting off, no screeching, played to the very end of the song. ^^;;; Tried it again with Jet's Are You Gonna Be My Girl, and it worked with that. Haven't been able to download a copy though, because absolutely every copy I encountered either needed more sources or was corrupt. There's something about that song that's worse than Toxic. >_>

(This is a shameless cry for help, by the way. Have the song? Gimme? Please? XD;;;)

I'm very wary about buying their CD now. I was going to, after hearing more of it and seeing if I liked it or not, but after reading that thing earlier about certain CDs crashing computers, and seeing every copy of the file broken, I don't trust them. Not at all. I won't touch a copy of their CD until I know for a fact that it won't do anything stupid, because if I lose my computer again, heads will roll. And it'll be the record label/RIAA's fault.

And I found something about Windows Media Player that's making me want to stop using it. I've already installed BSplayer in case I need a replacement for WMP. Need to tell Mom and Dad about this. Dad may have seen it, but I doubt it, since he wouldn't agree to something like that. And I definitely don't think Mom saw it. Here. Though it was brought up two years ago.

Yeah, I've learned my lesson. Read the stupid licensing agreements. Especially if they have anything to do with Microsuck. >_
