Scratch the cat thing.

Mom realized that if we do get a cat, we might transfer the sensitivity that Dad and Craig have to the allergy to PA. Fur will be all over the place, including our clothes, which means it'll be in the car, and we'll probably track it into the house. Also, if Dad and Craig come back here for any given reason, they'll have hell to deal with.

Okay, this day's become full of disappointment and I'm done with it now. She's right, of course, now that I think about it... I was just really looking forward to having a new cat around.

Major one, really. She's 100% right on this; it's better off we don't get a cat for exactly the reasons she mentioned. The last thing I want is for Dad and Craig's asthma to act up again.

Aw damn I am so sorry to hear about the kitty :( I see the logic in what your mom said though. Still, it's never easy to feel disappointment like that, especially when it's concerning the possibility of a new family member.

I think being around Harry for the week I was there really made me realize how much I miss having a pet. Even if we had to clean up behind her, just having Smokey around was enough. And it's been nine or ten years since we put her to sleep. -_-
