Today, I kicked ass.

Really. I mentioned that there was a Sudoku contest planned for the holiday party, right? Stuart was going around asking people if they wanted to do it, and he knew I did them, so he asked me. I of course said I'd do it. Joan got all upset today (once she learned I was one of the participants) and said "But she made up the board!" Stuart didn't know that. I told them (and I know it came out with a slight attitude) I added extra numbers to the board to make it easier and started the puzzle to make sure it was actually startable, but never finished the puzzle. From there, I sulked most of the morning at Joan calling me a cheater (which she didn't do outright, of course, but that's what it felt like) and at the cold I'm developing.
But they didn't get anyone else to do the puzzle, and Joan came to me at one point and said, "Okay, so since you're participating, I'll..." and I forget the rest of that sentence. ^^; I didn't care at that point. I'd gotten permission.
The contest was fun. The three of us had our own little bags with our names on them, and people wrote their own name on a slip of paper and dropped it into the bag of the contestant they thought would win. I had a lot of slips in my bag. Tas told me later on that she was saying to people around her, "I'm betting on Christina, because she has a book." XDDD
The pressure I felt while I was up there working on the puzzle with the others was insane. I've never raced someone else in Sudoku before, and people were cheering behind me (and some people from Sales Tax were trying to give Mike answers, haha), and I was concentrating really hard, but I kept missing it when I filled in every number in a line but one. A few times I heard Tas go "It's in the same line!" and I'd fill in the last number, hehe. It was intense. The cheers got louder and louder until everything started yelling, and it was only then that I realized I was done. (I screamed "DONE!" and started jumping up and down without even knowing if I'd gotten it all right. XDDD In hindsight, I shouldn't have done that. Would have looked stupid if I'd messed up on a number, because then I'd have been out and would've gotten excited for nothing... but I was caught up in the moment. ^^;) And I won. And I really beat the snot out of Athena and Mike. I got two prizes from that and two people who bet on me won prizes since I won. Athena and Mike also one a prize each for participating.
So yes, my ego is a blown a bit out of proportion because EVERYONE was going "You killed them!"
Overall, this party was a lot more fun than the other two. People actually got up to the karaoke machine and sang. A lot of people. They were all bunched together and swaying and I swear one would've thought someone spiked the soda. We ordered too much food this time, so I guess tomorrow morning my breakfast will consist of fried chicken, just so we can get rid of some of it. XD; We have a LOT of that left. Usually we run out very quickly.
Lucy was in today, she's feeling a lot better... and Jin came with baby Christina. (Yeah, another one. XD;) Christina is the cutest thing in the world. She's ten weeks, has a lot of hair, and looks just like Jin. Just like her. And she didn't cry once while she was there.
I said I would get my hair done today, but it's not happening. I had to carry my three prizes home, and while I'm not tired, I'm sniffly and didn't feel like staying out... so home I am. I don't know when I'm going to get my hair done. I can't tomorrow. I'm meeting Matt tomorrow. It might just have to wait until next week.
