So I'm cancelling Napster, because they suck. I'm expecting to be on hold for an age. From what I've seen, they make it incredibly difficult for you to cancel by making you call to do it. You used to be able to do it online. Suppose they got too many easy cancellations that way.

If they give me hell over it, I found a method that'll at least stop them from charging my account. That'll be the last resort, though. I'll give them three chances over the phone. Hopefully it'll get done right the first time.

There seems to be this stuff going around all over the place. AOL had some major media backlash from it ( the video is pretty scary as well http://youtube.com/watch?v=xmpDSBAh6RY ). Best of luck, though!

Is the last resort to dispute charges to your credit card company?

Nope, it's to stop payments going out to them. I can't dispute the charges--it's not like I've told them I'm cancelling their service before now. I have no problem with the previous charges, I just don't want any more going out.

And you know, I still haven't cancelled them? Have been too busy at work. -_-
